HDTV...a complaint

...ofcourse your playstation looks like shit on a HDTV. The PS2 normally sends a 480i signal.. which is going to look horrid on any HD set.

Hell, the PS2 looks horrid on any good display period. The PS2 has no form of AA so everything looks aliased. The thing is meant to be played on regular definition televisions. Playing it on higher sets just shows off all the ugly.

The only time the PS2 looks a little bit better on a HD set is when you're playing a game that outputs a progressive signal. But not many games do this. And those are still only what? 480p?

It's not the hardware that is at fault. It's you who are at fault for expecting things that are outputting a lower signal to look decent on something that takes a higher one.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I bet your DVD player is connected to it through Svideo or composite, eh?

It's really simple. I want you to go back to the store and walk into your Audio/Video section. I know it's scary but I'm sure you can handle it. Now get those shiny new component cables.

You know, the big black cord that ends in blue, green, and red? Yeah see those plug into the tv with the matching colors!

All you have to do is plug them in. Yes it's really that simple~

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
