I go to the Drive-In whenever I can. It saddens me they're torn down so much and that they're now so rare. There's only one left in the area, but thankfully it's still close by.

Whenever summer rolls around I go there almost every weeked. Sometimes I will even go during the winter, since it's usually somewhat warm here during the winter months.

You cant beat the experience or the price. Being able to hang out with people you know and barbecue or eat out while you wait for the sun to set and the movie to begin. Seeing 4 movies for the price of one. Laying back or sitting out in whatever chair you want. It tramples all over regular theatres in most aspects.

When I go to the Drive-In we pay about 5$ per person. You get to see two movies and if you're willing to stay out later you can simply turn your car around toward the other lot, tune into the other radio station, and catch another two movies for free (since they replay the movies twice). That's 4 movies for 5 bucks.

In comparison to a movie theatre I have to pay 7.75-10.00 per person for one movie, I have to either smuggle in food or buy overpriced snacks, and I'm cramped next to hundreds of other people in a chair.

I can only think of two things a movie theatre has over a Drive-In. A theatre has better sound if your car radio happens to be poor and there's a chance your view of the screen will be blocked at a Drive-In by jackasses in large vehicles, where as in a theatre you generally have a better chance of not having your view blocked.

I guess people must enjoy theatres more though.. Drive-ins are just not lasting as time goes by. It's so sad. :/

Jam it back in, in the dark.
Stuff goes here~
