At the moment I’m working in a hospital emergency department. Despite being a fairly small unit, it’s generally understaffed so things can still get pretty busy, especially in the evenings. The work atmosphere is good, and the senior staff (most of them) are a laid back bunch, a big improvement on the crazy hyperactive boss I was working for before. The hours are decent, there’s allocated teaching time, barely any overtime and each day is never the same. The downside is shift work wrecks absolute havoc with normal life, especially 1-11pm or the graveyard.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
