Why would they even want to do that, considering they were all remade for gamecube and Wii is backwards compatible. I wouldn't like it either, but it just doesn't make any sense to even consider that.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

50 dollars for games. Not too bad.

30 games available for download through the virtual console seems kind of weak. I hope that goes up alot after launch or else it seems like a waste.

I know that you will not be able to save Wii games on Gamecube memory cards, but does anyone know if it can be done the other way around? Like saving gamecube games on Wii memory or SD cards? That would be pretty awesome, because I really don't want to buy another Gamecube Memory card.

Also, concerning Wireless Gamecube controllers. I haven't seen any pictures of the ports on the Wii. Will the Wavebrid contoller recievers fit on the Wii, considering they are allot more bulky than the plugins on the original controllers?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Thanks Nintendo!

But see, if the console itself has region locking, then it would seem as if old Gamecube games that were region locked would not be able to be played on it.

The way it seems to me is this:

Region free games can be played on any region system.
Region games can only be played on their corresponding regoin's system.

So it seems no Japanese gamecube imports on your NA Wii.

Apparently Amazon has already sold out of Preorders.

Yeah, that was discussed a few pages back. No gamestop outside of Hawaii seems to know anything about it. Seems like Hawaii is going to be a test subject of some kind.

Also, Gamestop lists Component cables on their website as being available. 60 dollars, though. Seems kind of expensive.

I doubt you would get more than 50 cents per sports game. They are pretty much worthless the second you buy them. They wouldn't work towards the "Sell 3 games and get 10 dollars credit' deal anyways, so it would be a waste.

If it's true, my Gamecube and three games I never play should do the trick good enough. I was planning on getting rid of my Gamecube anyways.

They don't take PS1 games, so I doubt they would take the systems.

No, you should look around first. Not too difficult. Possibly try reading the first post.

It's going to be $250.

What I, and I'm sure everyone else, would love would be some kind of DS/Virtual Console emulation thing. Being able to not only to be able to play them again, but take them on road with you would be awesome. But I don't see that happening ever.

Where does it say that? Do you have any proof of that any proof of that? The website doesn't say anything about it.

Yep, Gamestop is now confirming it on their website.

Link

I guess this means waiting in line for me tomorrow. It's been snowing all morning here, too. I hope it doesn't snow tomorrow as well. Cold, windy, snowy weather is not good for waiting in line.

The 29th is a Sunday, too. Good that makes it alot easier to try and get one. Hopefully this one will be less well known, too. Somehow, I doubt it, though.

Have they mentioned anything about how much space a save game file or virtual console games will take up on and SD card? I'm just wondering if it's worth going out and buying a bigger one, since I don't anticipate buying a whole lot ofl virtuall console games.

I called Toys 'R Us a few days ago and asked them about this. They told me that pre orders are starting on the 29th.

I just called back to try and get some more info and they told me that they were not starting them on Sunday. Who knows. Maybe it was just someone who was uninformed or they are trying to keep it hushed for now. I guess I'll just have to call back on Saturday night.

We need Mo0 to come in here and re-confirm this.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well, considering that the store I went to only had 4 ps3 preorders, I would think that the place in line was very important.

Me and my friend played all of the Wii sports games last night, as it was the only multiplayer game that we had. They all worked fine for me.

It seemed to take forever for me as well. I played Wii Sports before I downloaded my update and didn't have any problems, so I would think that it would be safe with Zelda as well.

No, the USB adapter will produce the wireless network that the Wii will use. You just plug it into your modem/router, I believe. It's made for use with the DS and there is no ethernet plug ins on that, so it should work likewise with the Wii.

Wouldn't they need to get some sort of license to have Quicktime or wmv support, since they are Apple and Microsoft software?
