There's many to choose from at good prices. I had one in my hand but put it back. It was a 160 gb for 130$. For the same price I could get a 80 gb (same brand) and it was slim with no ac power. I stood there trying to choose and just grabbed the 160 gb (then put it back later out of fear of buying something crappy). So, I need an opinion on a good brand, how big, etc. I have a notebook computer, 60 gb HD. It's filling up fast with music, music videos, movies, etc. Any recommendations? Portability is nice, but not required (why the 80 gb one was eye catching).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Best Buy has a 250 gb Western Digital on sale for 99$. But then it's a competition between that and the mini 80 gb one for the same price.

EDIT- How do these work exactly? Just plug it in, install software, then move files you want backed up onto it? I don't have to have it plugged in all the time do you? Basically I just want to back up videos and put them aside. I don't think I'll really need 250 gb and the portability of the 80 gb is nice. I'm afraid though I'll use up the 80 faster than what I thought I would.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I decided to get the WD 120GB Passport. It's really nice. It's smaller than my calculator, less complicated than my calculator, and really silent. I got it for 110$. Thanks for the help ^.^

*smacks a fat lock on the thread*

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
