I would *love* to get contact lenses. I'm near-sighted and being diabetic doesn't help one bit. Depending on my blood sugars, my vision can range from pretty decent (read the house numbers across the street) to piss poor (being inches away from my monitor.)
I have glasses that I'm legally required to wear, but I hardly ever do. They don't suit me at all and I don't feel like shelling out for new ones. Contacts would the best option, but they're pretty expensive too. LASIK isn't really an option. With diabetes, there's a high chance the surgery will become null after a certain time. :/ Jam it back in, in the dark. |
