Crap for gaming. 'Nuff said.

You're going to have to give up specific details of your current hardware (motherboard model, RAM type) before we can really help you. If the Celeron D was an upgrade, then I'm curious about that you upgraded from! :|

If you're using that computer mostly for gaming, it would have been better to spend the money on a better video card than another gigabyte of RAM.
I agree with this totally. You won't get far with a Geforce 6200. A 7xxx series card would be desirable.

For a CPU, I'd recommend the E6300 Core2 Duo CPU. However, you need to find out if your motherboard is compatible with this chip. It is Socket 775, but that doesn't mean it will work with your board. (Look for "Conroe" compatibility.)

There's nowhere I can't reach.
