Designing websites in something like Photoshop is all well and good, but personally I find prototyping in HTML and CSS is a far more practical and useful exercise. At the end of the day you need to translate what you've made into useable, workable webpages, and that's a consideration that should be in the back of your mind when considering these things.
They look nice enough though, although I'd question the use of your logo on both your's and your mate's sites. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Ah cool, yeah making templates in XHTML and CSS is definitely the way to go. It was stuff like the drop shadows, which don't always work out as a practical idea in XHTML+CSS but are easy to do in Photoshop and the such like that made me think they might be image mock ups. But yeah, good work then. My bad for making assumptions then.
![]() As for your site: I certainly prefer the new design, it's got a more vibrant look to it. The one thing that does look a little odd though is the "home", "portfolio" and "contact" at the top look a bit out of place because of the font you've used. The rest of the page uses quite modern clean fonts and so they sort of feel a little misplaced. Just a thought. Looking good though. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
