I do want to see a direct feed, tho.
Yeah, though looks pretty cool, especially when they dropped off the Warthog. How cool would it be to drive around in that thing.

I don't recall Skills saying he hadn't heard of Halo 3. I believe his words were more to the effect that he didn't like Halo 2. Now I'm no expert, but someone who played Halo 2, unless suffering amnesia (in which case how would they remember not liking it), will know about Halo 3. In fact I'd be surprised if there's many people, certainly gamers, who aren't at least a little bit aware of Halo 3. Please kindly stop and actually read what people are writing before you ill-advisedly let your fingers attack your keyboard next.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

New ViDoc has been released, focusing on the save films and Forge, and my word it looks sweet fucking as. I can't wait to play this game and fuck about with stuff (I have a feeling dropping tanks on Tails could turn out to be the most satisfying experience on Earth).

Linky - Halo 3 ViDoc: Cinema Paradiso - Xbox

I can't wait for the unbiased reviews to start rolling in.
Try checking out MetaCritic then, they've got at least 16 different reviews up there for Halo 3 already (and with a 97 average score, just trumping BioShock at the moment). And not being funny, but I'd rather hear what Tube, and honest-to-goodness fan of the series, has to say than someone who's probably rushed their way through the game in order to get a review out and doesn't necessarily share my starting point views.

I'm so looking forward to getting my hands on this game. Damn you bastards who have it already. :P

arstechnica gave it a 7/10. That's shocking.
Actually they didn't. If you read the article properly they gave the single player 'campaign' component 7/10. It states that quite clearly and indicates that the score is not for the whole game. They'll be doing reviews for the multiplayer components separately.

Just to save the lazy people extra effort:

We're going to see if it delivers. We will follow this up with further coverage of the co-operative, multiplayer, and film-sharing and editing features shortly after the game launches.

Yeah likewise with having to wait until tomorrow. I ordered online, but with super-quick delivery so if it doesn't arrive tomorrow I shall be somewhat miffed. I'm sort of hoping that they will have sent it out a little early and it arrives today, that'd be sweet.

You didn't order from Virgin did you
No, I've got my order with GAME, who have been excellent with the standard delivery to date (the free delivery they offer is 2nd class, whereas I've paid for next day delivery for Halo 3). If it doesn't turn up at least by tomorrow I'll be having words, but that's a bridge to be crossed if it's arrived at.

Tails: damn you to hell and back (in a nice way). :P

Here is a list of the GFFers with a 360.
Not all GFFers. I'm not in that list and have me a 360, and as of later today will have a copy of Halo 3 (my Live tag is Omagnus).

Another list of people can be found here - "Gamingforce Members Leaderboard" - A Custom GamerScore Leaderboard :: MyGamerCard.net

Also, when the fuck did games less than 40 hours long suddenly become rubbish or not worth the money? BioShock wasn't that long and has no multiplayer component but I do not regret spending my money on it at all. I'm curious, to the people complaining about single player game lengths, do you only ever go and see a film at the cinema if it's at least 3 hours long? If anything falls short of that do you piss and moan about being ripped off then? Colour me curious.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Acer, did you join our Forge session last night? I know I got the friend request from you around that point but didn't know if you'd hopped into the game too as I didn't see you (too busy looking to betray Tails for lol).

Speaking of RvB, have any of you heard the easter egg within the game?
Yeah, me and my mate were playing last night and we found that. I was pissing myself laughing. My mate, however, was somewhat confused by my amusement.

You get one for winning. You don't get one for losing.

That's it, sorry.
That's team games, in free for all modes, isn't if you end up in the top half of the tables (so similar to being on the winning team I guess).

Anyone else get all the skulls yet?
Yep, got them all now thanks to the help of Dpkill and Kostaki in claiming the last one (bastard IWHBYD skull).

Anyways, some screenshots from recent Halo MP action (all clickable for supersize):

Active camo + shotgun = win

Blue army on the move (can't remeber who was on the Warthog, but the guy on the other end of those bullets didn't last long)

Britain and Japan fuck some shit up (me and Iwata causing a large amount of red team hurt)

Shotgun to the head = dead, oh yes

Prime, if I'm online when you are, drop me a line. Tag's Asmus. Could be cool
I tried adding you to my friends list but apparently I can't as your friend list is full. If it's possible I'm definitely up for it (I'm around most evenings English time).

Tails: stfu.

But as Q said, you get the post-credits bit on Heroic too. No idea about easy or normal, but I'd assume you get it at all levels, you just have to wait out the credits.

How ya doing, buddy?

Yeah, and how many people did you have helping you play it on Legendary. Three, that's right.

The Arbiter wasn't invinsible. He ran in and got himself killed a whole bunch of times when I was playing through levels. However, after a while he regenerates and gets back up. But yes, it's definitely easier having the help in a number of situations.

Personally I found the Hornet the easiest way to take them out as you don't need to down the Scarabs, you can just expose the core and then hover low and blast the crap out of it.

By the way, if anyone is up for doing some of the levels on Legendary let me know. I'm typically online between 6pm-midnight (GMT) and need to work through the first 6 missions on Legendary.

However I wouldn't expect more Halo stuff from them too soon.
Are you kidding? I can't imagine it'll be that long before we see a map pack or some sort of pay-for expansion stuff for Halo 3. When you have X million of potential customers right there, eager, why not take advantage of it.

Some interesting tidbits from the latest Bungie.net update, where they've answered some people's questions:

Plenty.

No announcements have been made yet.

I played the greatest game of Infection yesterday on one of them – a map big enough for crazy vehicle antics, but also unexpected.

A new update regarding matchmaking. And great news I say. 8 a-side BTB could be very cool and, of course, the reduction in Shitty Snipers is music to mine ears.

Halo 3's Matchmaking Playlists, just like Halo 2's, are dynamic and ever-changing entities. Even now in the perilous Bungie towers, we're looking at new hoppers, gametypes and modes to test for future iterations and changes of these playlists. Multiplayer Lead Tyson Green and test wunderkind David Gasca sent the following list of changes to us -- and these changes are live now:

* Big Team Battle matches are now 16-player affairs.
* In the Team Slayer playlist, the appearance of Shotty Snipers has been greatly reduced.
* Now, when players veto Shotty Snipers, the game that results from the veto will not be Shotty Snipers.
* In one-sided VIP matches, the attacking team will now see a waypoint for the VIP they are hunting.
* In Lone Wolves, Slayer gametypes will appear more frequently.

Perosnally I think the assault rifle is pretty awesome. Depends what style of gunfight you're involved in. The shotgun is awesome for ultra-close range skirmishes, but you'll get your arse handed to you if you try to take on someone with an AR with any distance between you. Similarly the battle rifle is brilliant for mid to long range attacks, but you get too close to someone with an AR and they can take advantage of its rate of fire. It's not about weapon control, it's about controlling your weapon.

There's a phrase about poor workmen and tools that comes to mind.

Thing is, everyone has radar so it evens out. I agree it'd be better without it, make sneaking up actually possible without crouching nonsense. However, as Tube said, only way you're going to end up with such a one-sided affair with repsect to weapons is if the game is a one-sided affair (i.e. your team is shit). I've been on plenty of teams where we've mounted comebacks simply by working well together, some of those against teams that had managed to get hold of a lot of the 'power' weapons, as you call them. I still believe it's possible to take someone on in pretty much any situation provided you use your current weapons (be that AR, BR, shotgun, carbine or anything else) and the environment appropriately.

Devo: Yeah it'd be nice if on the big maps you all got BRs, but at least they have a fair few of them near the spawn points (Valhalla has like 4/5 in each base and a couple just outside).

Also, unknown: Don't try and act all superior and patronising just because you played Halo 1 multiplayer or whatever the fuck you've done. Big fucking whoop.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Hey I played halo 1 competitively so therefore everyone should bow down before my post.
Oh, so that's why you shoot people's knee caps out: "Kneel before me bitch" *bang*

Seems fair, you did play Halo 1 competitively after all.
