So for tonight's Mario Kart shenanigans are we doing anything with the new ShyGuy/Yoshi colours or Merc cars? I have had a play and found a setup I like with Roy using one of the new Merc karts. But if we were going to do a "all the ShyGuy colours" session I'd be OK with this.

Probably not, I imagine people will still want to play as their favoured characters (Roy's my boy after all). I wouldn't rush out to buy DLC if I were you.

We play Frantic mode so you have to remember that you're always a few seconds away from a good old item-fucking. That can play heavily into randomly ended up at the back or losing places right at the last moment.

As for Kart build, if I qualify as one of the good people then here is what I have set up:
- Character: Roy
- Body: W 25 Silver Arrow (from the new Merc set)
- Wheels: Wood
- Glider: Clouds

I did previously use Roy with Landship and White Off-Road wheels, which was a more even balance.

Not sure, since the weekend is prime co-op time for Destiny I might make this week and exception and go do that. That said if Skills and Mo0 want to spend an hour or so doing MK I'm perfectly fine with that too. So yeah, unsure right now what I'll be doing.

Room wasn't full until a solid 10+ minutes in. So there was ample opportunity for someone to just join the MK lobby and then get added to the call (as a bunch of people did).

If the room is full pinging Tails or me via actual phone message, IRC ding-dong or some other way is the best way forward. As Tails says, Skype notifications suck so not even remotely worth it. And if it happens regularly we're clearly going to have to look at how to cycle people in and out.

Yeah I won't be around this coming Saturday as I've got family visiting. If there's a danger Tails might also not be around, anyone want to step up and offer to host so that someone is taking care of that?

We can always do the "Yoshis on Yoshis taking on Yoshis on Yoshis" cup in a couple of weeks. I'm all for the mixing it up with random set ups. It's just a shame we have to back out to do it, though thankfully it's pretty quick and painless.

Does everyone have the gold kart unlocked? If so we could do a "Princess Bling" cup at some point.

OK, so is Mario Kart happening this week? If so I'm a little unsure of how timing is going to work. In the UK the clocks went back last weekend and I believe they don't go back in North America until either tomorrow or next weekend. So, 10pm my time is suddenly an hour out.

So, if we're sticking to 10pm GMT then that's in about 12 hour:

Just a reminder for today's last pre-DLC "Daravon Searches for the Road" session, we're back to regular time as North America has now also shed its daylight-savings adjustment. So it's in about 11 hours time:



If anyone has suggestions for some silly configurations we can rock, have a noodle on it. Does everyone have the gold kart by now? If so I think all Pink Gold Peaches in the gold cart might need to be a thing. Also the ATVs don't really get any love from our group, so perhaps an all ATV cup. And maybe in honour of the likelihood of everyone being Link next week we only pick characters who are predominantly green on bikes. Just some thoughts.
