It happened here from 5 to 5:30. I was helping out a friend pretty late, it was already around 4:30, so I figured, "what the hell?" The moon sank like a lead balloon; I could barely see it over the top of the trees when the last sliver disappeared. We had the eclipse in front of us, the sunrise behind a silhouette of trees in back, a strange fog sitting over the fields, and clouds that looked like they were painted on the ceiling, with Beirut playing over the radio. It was truly bizarre shit.

The stars were beautiful before the sunlight came peering over the horizon. I don't stargaze nearly enough, and mostly when I'm plastered.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
