When I speak English I have a german accent. It´s not really nazi villain english because I´m pretty used to speak english at work.
So for my German. I live in the Ruhr area of Germany and we actually have a pretty nice accent here. So, yes, I have been told that I have an accent once or twice - but only when I speak with other people from the "Ruhrpott". We have a collection of words noone else uses.
Some sound vagualy english, like "Pömms" instead of pumps, and most can be explained by the images you get in your head. Like "Luftkotelett" - "Air Cutlet" for a slim person or child.
Let me verkasematuckel you the link to a dictionary, you old Kamuffels.
