I wished they would just restart the series with a new story/timeline. The one going on in the movies right now is just awkward with Alice mutating and all. Plus with Jovovich as the lead again I doubt the movie will be much different from the previous two Resident Evils, but I also doubt that she'd accept a lesser role.
I'm just glad that Sienna and Oded Fehr are back, as they were the only reason I liked the 2nd one more than the first. Most amazing jew boots

I personally enjoyed it, as it was easily better than Apocalypse. Just go in with no expectations whatsoever, and enjoy all the references they nabbed off other movies.
I would've liked some more time for Carlos, Claire & the gang to develop their characters, but that's just nitpicking imo considering it's a video game movie. There's nowhere I can't reach.
