Though far too short to really explore the issue, I actually gained a little bit of respect for Thompson. Think about it, he had the balls to show up on a show where he knew he'd get gangbanged by everyone. I don't agree with his methods in the least, but I do agree that games can promote violence to a certain degree.
In the end, the same can be said for movies, music, and what anyone can easily watch on tv. So it really is just up to the parents to control what their kids are doing. Preventing the game from being released is just ludicrous, as it is just a "game" in the end, just like there are plenty of gratuitously gory movies out there.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
