New Line has "blacklisted" Peter Jackson from directing The Hobbit, basically meaning a snowball could make it back from a week-long vacation in hell sooner than he'll be directing a New Line-developed Hobbit.

It's not Jackson's fault if the contract he signed with New Line meant he'd get rich like wut.
