Wow! I've just been back to these forums since the crash, and am now hearing lots of excellent news! Good to hear of an imminent next-cv release.. here's hoping it's 3D...
no not like the ps2 versions, but something akin to Maverick Hunter X. That would be damn nice. And a whole new system without Soma would be a nice break too. :doggy: woof! Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Just to get this clear, i believe that "Dual Moons" was an April Fools joke. Portrait of Ruin is the only confirmed Castlevania title to be released anytime soon.
How ya doing, buddy? |
Where is everyone?
Well there are some new videos at IGN, just follow the link provided 2 posts before to see them. They show gameplay footage from the start til the end of the E3 demo. The graphics look very sharp with a great palette. The dual-character mechanic looks highly promising and very cool with assist-moves (and whip-spinning is back). And I'm starting to like this new music too! I do hope that Konami make the enemies more challenging and not have them take 5 seconds just to charge up their attack (at which point you'll have them beaten down already!) Preferably have a hard mode available at the outset to cater for series veterans, where the enemies are not stronger, but just attack quicker like in the classic games. I was afraid that IGA decided to make the game too highly animated, but it seems this will probably only occur in the painting worlds to provide contrast and a change of pace from the standard puzzle/adventure elements in the Castle. It's looking mighty fine from all the vids I've seen (which is all of them) and looks to be the most-visually impressive addition to the legendary series yet. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Er ok.. back to the topic.
Seems to be heavily action orientated this title seems.. more like the classic games. I like this a lot! Hope to see some crazy boss fights to go alongside, and wouldn't it be cool if you could ride vehicles (ie. tanks) in a metal slug fashion? Hehe. But why does Jono still walk like Yoko?! How ya doing, buddy? |
Beating those 2 f...s was one of the hardest things I've ever done in a video game, especially with a level 1 Rondo Duo :P Cccraaazy!!!!
Does no-one still not know how to unlock A.A.?? I was speaking idiomatically. |
@ Megalixir (btw nice upgrade dude)
Actually you gotta kill 1000 original Axe Armors to unlock the fiend. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
No you got it right. I think it was at the start/top of the 2nd section.
And the bonus CD has been ripped already. Thanks anyway. FELIPE NO |
Have Charlotte wait under the doorway you entered and cast the spell there. As Jonathan you will have to take the brunt of the sisters' attacks, while trying to keep Charlotte in view at all times (or else she'll warp). Do it my way and it's easy as pie. If they use the triple ice sword attack, you will probably have to try again later, or else they'll get you before the incantation is finished.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Hey everyone, just wanted to say I managed to snag a 2oth Anniversary set from Singapore on Christmas Day! Woohoo I'm so happy this year! It's been a great year in general and I'm stoked and looking forward to 2007. Happy New Year in advance to all, as I won't be online again for the next few days or weeks. Shame that the earthquake screwed up connections in Asia-Pacific but oh well. Peace.
