With 3D polygons? It would still look crap on the DS. Plus the clicky d-pad would make movement too hard on the thumb.

What should be made? How about a program to teach Japanese to NON-JAPANESE!

What should be remade? Chrono Trigger! SE did do FF3 after all, so if you're gonna milk the cow, milk all the udders damn it!

Jam it back in, in the dark.

And most of them move slow. I guess it would be ok if you don't mind not actually seeing what attacks your characters are pulling off, but for most of us, and definitely the target audience, it would be rubbish. Remember it's not like Naruto or DBZ with special fireballs and such; it's a more precision game. As for 2D fighters, Jump and Bleach have already shown that it works well given not many buttons are required.

How ya doing, buddy?

If you are content with Steve and Ling moving as fast as Chris or Jill, then I guess to each his own. I have yet to see a decent full 3D game on the DS which doesn't look jerky when moving at a fast pace (case in point - VJDD). If you compare to PSP's Naruto beat'em up or Tekken DR, I think you'll see the big difference here: lack of hardware oomph!

But trust me Manny, whatever the argument, Tekken would not work for the DS. After Namco slipped up on T4, they would never take the risk anyway.
