ARRR ME SCALAWAGS *shot*

What's with this negativity I'm feeling? D:
Eat something bad?

When I heard the news though about it containing online play, though some complained about the way how the system worked, I think it's still better than nothing.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I've decided that when I play online, and someone uses Diddy, I will soley concentrate on them, relentlessly pursuing them across the arena until the inevitably fall. It's my entire gameplan. Fuck Diddy Kong.
*Note to self: Don't play as Diddy Kong online*

It would be nice if they made tournament mode an option when playing against people online, like they did with Dead or Alive 4.
In a way it makes more sense. You're basically facing off against random people with the online component.

Well time for me to pay off SSBB at my store now. This interested me more than enough to get it honestly.

I just have a feeling this game is gonna be like how TP was when it first came out, where you couldn't find it for weeks until the next shipments went out.

If they were smart, they'd have Crono represent them...but since there's no chance in hell of that happening, we're probably more likely to see a Final Fantasy character if Square-Enix even gets involved in this.
Either Cloud, Sephiroth, or SE's KH characters (not the Disney ones). I mean they're already using those to no end.

Exactly. Pausing in the middle of a fight to take a picture is ridiculous.
How do you think people got screenshots of games in the past before the whole Theatre mode thing that Halo 3 has?

I mean it's not like how the minute one nice thing comes from a game that every other game made after that one would have it.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Hell I wouldn't mind a Tetris level, constantly building itself and disappearing would be a hell of a hard level to play in.
Yea. Especially if the level decides to get a grand combo, and all the block disappear.

Yeah, the pictochat level would definitely be better with the ability to make your own drawings/level layouts for it. It looks fun though. I did not expect it.
Imagine though if it was taken online, with being able to share levels. It can have it's good points, but at other times, I wonder what kids are going to see when they do play online.

Except, of course, when your preferred character had projectiles and your opponent's didn't. Which, unsurprisingly, is why Sheik, Falco laser spammers, and Samus crouch cancellers were tourney fanboy favorites. If anything, Battlefield is the stage that comes closest to being "fair", but certain characters will always have advantages at certain stages.

And then there's the aspect of being able to adapt to various stages that most tourney fanboys prefer to be blissfully ignorant of. I've always wanted to somehow sabatoge a tournament so that they can only play at Poké Floats, just to see how many would forfeit. "Forget this I'm going home to pwn some n00bs at Counter Strike."
In all honesty, I think "tourney" people are a minority and slightly a laughing stock to regular players. Majority of them that I encountered are just arrogant.

"I can play this game better than you, therefore I must be better than you at life"....

I don't get what comes around with that mindset.

I'm not saying all people who are tourney are like that, but I mean there are some arrogant people out there, like if they don't have it their way, they just say "Screw it".

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I don't know about you guys, but when someone is a douche and stops letting the game be fun we just don't invite them to play with us next time.
I hope so, because just inviting them over and over again just makes it a glutton for punishment of torture.

I can just imagine though, if the ability to use taunt messages against others online could be.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Quoted for absolute truth. Real skill comes with the players who can utilize the items and dodge stage hazards. I never understood why some of the tourney's I've seen limit themselves to Final Destination without items -__-'. I mean, there's like 2GB of SSBM or so wasted because no one takes advantage of it...

One of my friends is a big tourney "(X) CHARACTER IS BROKEN!!!!" guy. Because of this, there was one time he, my girlfriend, my brother and I were just playing a friendly, "just for fun" match in Melee. Whereas me and my brother play Smash regularly, my girlfriend plays occasionally, but can deliver massive damage to those who underestimated her. She happened to win in the match, and while my brother and I just laughed and joked about how we lost to a girl, my friend started blabbing on,
"Oh, (character) is so cheap, he's broken, and I would've won if it were 1-on-1. And you guys were picking on me." Riiiiiight...

Yea I don't have a problem when someone's deep into a game. The problem being, is that if they don't win, they somehow find an excuse of that they lost, and not in a kidding/being funny complaining, but serious complaining. I mean hell, I dunno how people take "professional gaming" to a level? I mean shoot....if you could get money just by being good at a game as a job, I'd think everyone would do it.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a profession though, because I wouldn't consider it work. The general description of a profession is an occupation, such as law, medicine, or engineering, that requires considerable training and specialized study. Calling "playing games at a different level than average gamers" is hardly specialized study.

So would that throw you away from buying the game?

I don't really see 3 minutes as that and I CERTAINLY do not see 3 minute encoded movies as that.
Only thing though is that previous games have done that in the past actually. And it's more towards the "30 seconds of saved replay".

Game such as Burnout Revenge, Skate, etc.

Ya know, you gotta give the creators of this game props for the bonuses and extras they throw in. It seems like they really are trying to go out of the way to ensure that everyone is going to have a fun time with the game.
That's the thing I tend to like about Nintendo games, is that they are just plain fun at times.

Something I dislike with other companies for example, is that they have things that are ultra realistic, but I mean that's just plain eye candy honestly.
