Yes, I understand that. I should be more specific.

I'm not afraid of voice chat on games like these because I have a somewhat high level of tolerance with this kind of stuff. In fact, I would like it to be a part of the game because it would make communicating with others for setting up matches a lot more convenient.

Nintendo doesn't want voice chat, and I understand why they do that. They don't want people to be offended or influenced in a bad way by playing the game with people they don't know. The one thing that I do hope they did was to have voice chat, and keep it strictly to friend-code matches. I mean, they do have the system in place as a way to restrict communication to those that already know each other. By adding voice chat in these matches, it makes it much more convenient for people that, theoretically, already know each other to play the game. The only way it could detract from the experience is if your friend or whoever you traded FC with is absolutely unbearable when armed with a mic.

Regardless, I just want to play the game...
Yea, being able to voice chat across friends would have been nice, but at this point, what has been done, is done.

And sprout, it's IGN. They dock points for random stuff.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Well the times are winding down. About 2 days left to go until the release of the game.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Apparently Metroid Prime Hunters was the first game to feature voice chat.

I never knew that. <_<
Really? I had the damn game for so long and I never knew that as well.

Lmao Chaotic. Mini-mario in the videos also looked a bit funny, and Sonic's broken arm.

And here's Chaotic with semi-important information:

I heard from one of my friend's who works at Gamestop that the tournament (if anyone should be participating here) will start at 10 pm, when the line is supposed to start forming. Through the two hours, the tournament will be held. Afterwards, they'll open up the store and start selling copies like mad cunts.
As far as I know, the tournament is actually supposed to be sooner. 10pm is more of the line-up starting for the sale of Brawl at Midnight. I'm just glad I'm not working on the sales floor for the Midnight sale, but I work on the day afterwards, handling people that are coming in to buy it that didn't stay for the Midnight Sale.

Though each place could have it differently. I just know that at my store, we're having the tournament sooner.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Agreed. Would save them alot trouble from getting a shitload of customers coming in on a sunday morning where all retail stores are the most busiest.
That's not going to help at all. When people see midnight sales now, they're like "Pfft...I don't want to wait outside in the dark/cold. I'll pick it up the next day". Considering that it's a weekend as well, it'll be even more busy than before. What sucks is working during that time, and the company badgering the hell out of you to link this game with more pre-orders. Like people are going to pre-order another game when they're picking this one up.....doesn't make sense to me to be honest. ;_;

Also, you have to wonder how many are going to be going online right after the game comes out. Many will probably be focusing on unlocking all the characters at first. It'll probably be around Monday or Tuesday before the rush of people online starts, at most.

I work at a GameStop and we got an e-mail from home office saying to continue to take reserves. Hell, in the mall I work at, the EB Games below my store has 93 extras for just walk-ins. You're good. If you didn't pre-order, you should be fine. It doesn't vary that much store to store. If a store hits its reserve limit, they are informed via email and then are told to continue to using a different method and they just won't have as many walk in's to sell.
The problem being is that not every store is going to have extras as far as things are concerned. Some areas will have extras for walk-ins, but others won't have any due to pre-orders for the game. The best solution I just go with is to pre-order to avoid worry about picking it up the day it comes out.

How ya doing, buddy?

It does?
I always thought Gamestop cater towards pre-order customers because each employee has a monthly reserve quota to meet (I call them brownie points.) Which is why I get the whole store trying to convince me to pre-order a copy of the next mario kart despite SSBB coming out in a week.

Also, damn you Miles. DAMN YOU >:U
You better get a head start at playing that game. Because I will kick your ass. Mario vs Sonic, items everywhere, animal crossing town, sunday night, be there or be square!
The whole quota thing is a pain in the ass. Least I don't have to worry much about it, but managers usually do. It doesn't make sense for us to badger people that are coming in to PICK UP a game about more up coming ones.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

This was not hard to do. Legendaries were extremely plentiful. My store has 1 left from launch, even.

Gamestop propaganda. While it may be selling quickly, I don't think you're not going to be able to find one right away. Check the big box stores like Best Lies, Faggotshop, Wal-fart and Circunt Shitty. I'd be surprised if you couldn't nab one on day one.

GS does all sorts of inventory fuckery for various reasons, and it may be true that you won't get one if you GO THERE. Other places will have it. I can't imagine a software sell out unless Nintendo seriously dropped the ball.

And if that's the case, your preorder might mean jack if you're late, so you're fucked either way! Isn't that GREAT?
Only problem with that, is that there are those people that go to GS last, and by that time it's too late. I dunno why but one of my friends was so happy to burn this guy, cause he called it about CoD4 being sold out from all stores in our area, and he said to the guy that though pre-ordering isn't always needed, for some games like that you should if you wanted to get the jump on it right away.

"I went to other stores (K-mart/Wal-mart, etc) and they didn't have any copies. Do you have any extras?"

"Why didn't you pre-order it before?"

"I figured I was gonna get a copy."

"We don't have any more copies." (He wanted to say "You're S.O.L son!!! I told you!")

But despite it being propaganda, it helps at times as much as it hurts, for those hard to find games, or the extremely popular ones, depending on your area.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Just curious, but to those that have played online, how has the games been for you? I had a match earlier with Kai, and things went ok. Only thing that slightly urked me was the lag in input.

Btw, I think we were almost even in final smash uses that match. The were showing up like candy,

Is it just me, or does it seem ridiculously easy to pull off smashes now. I'm not saying they were hard before, but I found my characters pulling off smashes all the time, even when I'm just trying to do tilt attacks.
It felt different to me. Not necessarily easier, but it did feel different.

Though, playing it more and more does make it seem easier now, since we're getting more used to the system at hand.

I'm going to avoid online for a few days, and hope that part of the latency issues sort themselves out. Even playing 1 on 1 with friends is some lagggggy shit.
To be honest it was less laggy than I thought it was going to be, from the previous online videos I've seen so far, where the game froze skipped like every few seconds, and then just froze for a bit. Though hopefully it'll die down after a few days like what's mentioned, when people get their schedules back on track.

Also apparently Miles hates swordmen, and he liked using the landmaster to annoy the hell out of me. ;_;

I'll probably be online from 12:30 - 2:45 later today if anyone wants a battle. I'll probably use my Wi-Fi connector to get a connection running on my computer just so I don't have to deal with my crap ass router.
Are you talking about forum time, or a specific timezone, because either way I'd like to have a match against you.

So who's tried some of the new characters? I've grown quite fond of Meta Knight and I'm actually pretty badass with Squirtle. Still haven't even scratched the surface of unlockables, but I'm looking forward to trying out Snake and Sonic, in particular.
I've been playing Ike as my main so far. Been doing ok with using him. Snake is getting some time to get used to, like his side smash, and Meta Knight is nice as well.

For the SSE and to answer about switching pokemon within it :

Spoiler:
As you progress on, you have to fight against Ivysaur and Charizard in order to be able to use them in the story.

And how about that music? MY GOD! IGN wasn't kidding when they said that this may be one of the best video game soundtracks ever.
Yea. Got the soundtrack before the game came out. Some nice remix songs and some new ones.

Getting very lucky with Ike!

I've seen a video on how to do it with Kirby/Ike/Marth/etc without getting too badly harmed, but it is totally cheap.

It involves doing this (video inside):

Easiest but Cheapest way to beat Cruel Brawl (works with various others):

Here's another which is similar to that, but done with Peach:

It is called Pity Final Smash. (Bottom section)

If someone gets KO'd a bunch of times they have a chance to respawn with their Final Smash already.

The only way to disable it is to turn off Final Smashes entirely.
Well that explains why 1/2 the time when I play someone has a Final Smash out of nowhere.
Plus I need to add more of the people on the wiki list.

Speaking of in-game CDs, isn't it horrible when they drop a CD on the stage, and you literally have a split second to react and pick it up?

The moment it hits the floor, it's ready to disappear. What's worse, most of the CD they slap on me are on the other side of the stage. ;_;
Yea.

Spoiler:
Like when you finish the fight with Ridley, and when the camera scrolls down the CD is barely visible.

Damnit why is there so much LAGGGGG?!?!?! AGH!
*shrug* It kinda makes me a bit angry as well because I'm used to lack of input lag(at least noticing it) in games. I was testing things last night to see what could help. Restarting my router did help during the timeframe I was testing it within a fun match against Kai.

I still thought catching him in a fan rush until his % was close to 200 still hilarious.

Then we were in a 100-man brawl.
We were so damn close to finishing, and then one of them knocked him into the left side, and then another hit me off and I slammed into Kai knocking him off into the edge, thus ending the match.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

What some people just do is leave their Wii online overnight or throughout the day to confirm people easier.
That's something I should do, because I haven't been online often with SSBB.

I could've swore everyone was playing Call of Duty 4 >:I. Anyway, I'll add you later today Tails. Don't expect to beat me with Landmasters either.
People were, and then we just scattered after that. Near the end, people got grenade happy.

So how have people been communicating lately while playing SSBB, aside from the forums?
