"Naz," of course.

It's just the first syllable of my last name, but the nickname spread like wildfire when I started high school. Since roll call/introductions began with last names at first, people preferred "Naz" over my simple-to-pronounce yet long-and-intimidating last name. Even my teachers then called me "Naz." Some people called me "Nads," but they're all dead now. Some friends (and my band teacher) also nicknamed me "Spaz" and "Spud." I also has the title of "The Terror of Fort Washington," given to me by a brother (as in
friar) who is also the biggest Simpsons fan in the history of man. =p
"Naz" followed me to college, and the friends I made there called me by it... some professors too. At this point, it's become socially unacceptable to call me by my first name now ("Michael"), and doing so would return you some awkward stares and a "Who?"
Now, only in the workplace does no one use "Naz" at all. It's kinda sad. ;_; But once I leave, all is right in the world.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
