Shoe Situation

So many flips in this thread about shoes.

Yeah, I take off my shoes upon entering and especially before entering a carpeted area. But in my multi-ethnic apartment back in college, my roommates didn't really follow that, but I did, as well as any other (mostly Filipino) friends that would come over for meetings and such.

But if there was a party, shoes could stay on at your own risk. It's a general rule: if you pass out with shoes on, you're fair game.

At home though, I always take my shoes off upon entering, and so do guests. And actually, I have tsinelas (flip-flops) that I wear for outside and then would switch to another pair to wear inside if I wanted to.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
