TV Tuner Help

Ok, I'm not sure if the title of this is correct, but I need some help.

I have a TV tuner on my computer, a.k.a. I can see what I'm doing on my computer on my TV, or I can use my computer on my TV.

So my question is this. I'm currently using a 1152x864 reslolution on my flat-panel, and when I switch over to my TV which is JVC 19 inch color television, it works just fine, but the resolution is all stretched and I can't see my start menu, some icons, ect.

I've tried changing the resolution, but it still does the same thing.

Does anyone know how to fix this so I can see my entire desktop on my TV?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Are you simply hooking your television into the S-Video plugin on your video card? Or are you using a PCI television card?

If you're using a GeForce graphics card, you can setup DualView to allow two monitors to run at two different resolutions.
Yes, my Video card is a GeForce 5900 and I am hooking my video card into the television with S-Video plugin.

I used to be able to get it so that it wouldn't stretch, and I could see the desktop, but I'm not sure why I can't get it to do that anymore.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Ok, so I changed my resolution to 1280x1024 and it looks much, much better. I will try and use the Duel-view option later tonight and see if it works.

Double Post:
Hmm, the dual view option really didn't do what I was thinking it would do. I guess what I want is the exact same thing I see on my monitor to transfer to my TV.

In other words, I want to see the entire start menu, all my icons, and everything that I normally see on my LCD, on my TV.

Is there anyway to do that?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I've tried switching it to clone and all that does is create a blank wallpaper like image on my TV screen of whatever wallpaper I have on my LCD.

It's really strange. Is there a way to use Duelview and then select clone?

My options look like this:

and

(Sorry about the size)

I was speaking idiomatically.

Render, you have been most helpful and uber awesome.

I see what you mean, I guess I can't run my LCD and TV and two different resolutions.

Problem is, when I switch my LCD to 1024, I don't think I can see my desktop and stuff on the TV, but I will try it out.

I appreciate all the help thus far too. :afro:
