Hitting your pc is the dumbest thing you can possibly do, because it can only cause more problems.
Make sure the sound-card (and other things) are steady in their slot. Jam it back in, in the dark.  |

I don't believe hitting the PC will help you with it, really - unless your hard drive hangs, but then it's time to get a new one anyway. Or perhaps - as I said - the card wasn't seated properly and got straightened by your hit, although that's highly unlikely.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
