Do you think they'll get pre-orders in THAT early? I think the stores can pre-order too, but won't get them for a while.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

It's still not sure how many units will be shipped to Europe, let alone my country. I just pre-ordered the Wii at two different locations (and may add a third) to make sure I get at least one Wii at launch date. The others I'll just cancel.

Also checked out a bunch of video reviews on IGN. It seems that Zelda is the best game to get (which is what I'll do), but other than that the other games aren't all super great, right? I heard that ExciteTruck is fun, but multiplayer sucks. Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz (or whatever) is suppose to be fun too, but not all that big. Half of of the 50 mini-games seems to suck. Rayman is fun, but I'm not going to buy a bunch of mini-games for that price. Trauma Center seems to be a remake of the DS version.

How ya doing, buddy?

For those who have the thing - how hard was it to set the connection with the internet up and how does the updating take place?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I'm wondering, is the Wii region free (like the DS) or not?

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Did anyone break his/her Wii using the WiiConnect 24 thing yet? - http://wii.ign.com/articles/746/746907p1.html

I was speaking idiomatically.

Is that even an option once you're connected to the net? Doesn't it auto update?

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

23 hours of active waving around, or just by having it somewhere around and wave it for a bit every now and then? 23 hours of active waving from some cheap batteries doesn't sound too bad to me. Just get some rechargeable photo-batteries (the ones that are intended to be used for digital cameras - they are more expensive, but also last longer) and you're good to go. A pack of four would do the trick.

And a recharger, since your current one probably can't charge them.

Hrhr.

Seriously, it's worth it. I used them for my MP3-discman and could use it for hours and hours before the batteries needed to be recharged.

Good idea! Buy a Wii and play GC games on it.

You know how the Dreamcast auto selects the channel when you turn it on? Does the Wii do this?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

If you find a HDTV that doesn't have component cable outputs, don't buy it.
Don't you mean input?

I read somewhere that as long as Nintendo doesn't announce the facts, it's not sure how much they sold.

I use lithium ion batteries, and they work without a single problem. They just take a while to recharge, but they last really really long on the contrary. The default non-rechargeable batteries that came with the Wii went down in about 10 hours (while a friend of mine is using his for 30 hours now, it's weird).
