I really want to like this - but Burton hasn't made a solid movie since Ed Wood (Though Big Fish wasn't without its charm). That said - I'm about as disaffected by his bland, sterile quirky/dark mix as can be; he's become a joke of himself.
Now if this had been done by Jonathan Demme or Cronenberg, I'd be on pins and needles. For what it is though - its just another Burton throwaway. Jam it back in, in the dark.
