First off, wow I've been watching this series since it started and can't believe I didn't think to check this area of the forums for a thread on it

This series has single handedly managed to cause me to lose sleep because it keeps my mind whirling so much after each episode ends.

Spoiler:

The point I want to bring up is the power of voice that Sylar used when he said "Murder" today and when Peter basically attacked Isaac. What was that? Have we seen any manifestation of that in the past?

Spoiler:
There have been manifestations of that in the past from Sylar. The most recent one was when he attacked Mrs. Bennet. After knocking her down to the floor and approaching her he said "hi" in that really deep, evil sounding voice. At that point Mr. Bennet and the Hatian burst through the door with a well aimed shot at Sylar.

The other one that I know of offhand is when Peter is asleep dreaming in the police cell after having been arrested for the suspected murder of Jackie Wilcox. His brother Nathan enters and supposedly wakes him up. He starts talking to Nathan about how he wants to save the world, but doesn't feel like he'll be able to. Nathan then whispers in his ear "That's because you can't". Peter looks away and the camera pans Nathan out of view. Then another voice is heard: "How can you stop what's coming?" As Peter looks back over he sees Sylar sitting next to him instead. Sylar finishes with the evil voice coming through saying: "When you don't know anything about power." At that point Peter wakes up from the nightmare.

It's really hard to tell what's happening there. It's almost like another persona, but it's hard to tell since it's nothing like the whole Niki/Jessica split personality thing. As far as I can tell, it's as if the person's darkest side is coming through there. The wiki on the Heroes website so far makes no mention of this voice either.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I don't think that particular power has an on/off switch. He's just not used to super hearing and is getting headaches from it.
Yeah it seems like he's learning his way through the super hearing just like the lady he took it from had to. Quite interesting. It is also kinda of funny too since Sylar is this big evil guy, and yet if someone blew a dog whistle it'd bring him to his knees wailing in pain. Could you imagine Mohinder's reaction after that?

I just watched that scene again, and I agree, that does seem like an odd scene. It seems like almost no time passes by in between when Mrs. Bennet leaves the kitchen, and when Claire finds her brother and comes back downstairs. I could just barely hear the water still boiling, but other than that, I couldn't make out any other differences in the scene.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

On an interesting note, I think Sylar just gave the same (or similar) speech to Mohinder about 'finding them together' as he gave to Mohinder's dad in the episode titled "Six Months Ago."
(Anyone want to confirm that?)
Right you are, I just watched every scene involving Sylar and Chandra Suresh in Six Months Ago, and right at the end Sylar gives a speech that sounds very similar, including the "I can feel them" line.

How ya doing, buddy?

Last night's episode was so great that I immediately watched it again after I got home from work today to get every last detail I could. Oh man, was that awesome. I liked the focus on just one set of the characters for a change instead of all the jumping around like they normally do.

BTW, I agree, Heroes 360 with receiving messages from Wireless was the ultimate geek out experience! It made that episode feel even more real.

EDIT: Nice follow up with the weekly comic too, very touching

Okay, peeps, what is this Heroes Online thing you guys are going on about?

Also guys, don't forget to read the graphic novels on NBC's website. There is a surprising amount of background and fill-in information contained in these. This week's is about when Bennett and Claude actually found Claire.
Heroes 360 also occurs during live episodes where you go and click on the "Interact with Heroes!" panel on the middle of the main Heroes page. You create an account, and then during the show you get polls, questions seeing if you can predict what happens next, and facts. It's pretty cool, but hard to keep up with both the show AND the website at the same time due to how my computer is positioned such that I can only look at one of them at a time.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Argh! Why must they keep going on practically 1+ long breaks between episodes! That shit drives me crazy!

Otherwise, great episode tonight. It set the stage beautifully.

How many episodes has Hiro spent looking for that damn sword by now, 5? That was getting truly ridiculous. All the other plot arcs are still humming right along.
I agree, it really was getting tiring watching Hiro continuously say "I need to find sword!" and only seeming to inch closer to it. Maybe now he and Ando can do something more interesting now that he's found it, like go and face off against that dinosaur.

I hope they bring Hana "Wireless" Gittelman(sp?) back into the final episodes properly. I love her ability to intercept information, and use it to bring her closer to finding out what "The Company" is really doing.

So far Peter's vision still isn't jiving with what appears to be happening in the show. In his vision he saw Issac and Simone, yet Simone is (still) dead, and didn't Issac paint his own death at the end of this episode?

In the latest comic right after the incideny with Ted almost blowing up the neighborhood, Mr. Bennet contacted Hana and told her that he's switching sides and he needs her help to put down the company. She accepted.

I'm wondering if this hiatus will feature more Hana comics as it did last time. Her appearance on the show was a little abrupt, so I also hope that she's given a proper introduction to show her background, internal struggles, and what her goals are. Right now her character is just flat.
Yep I just read that comic before coming here again (the newest comic isn't up there when I get up in mornings), and that is KICKASS. It's like having a wish granted!

True, most of Hana's character has been fleshed out in the comics rather than the show, and that's really a pity as I'd like to see her in the show more often. I doubt they have the budget to do a special effect similar to what it shows in the comics where she sees the information floating around her, but still, it was cool just seeing her IM Ted a couple of episodes back.

Is anyone else keeping up with the comics and such?

The 6 part comic revealed some background information on some characters we've seen already, with some shocking discoveries. Check it out.

Also on Hana's website,
as part of the Heroes interactive experience... Linderman is going to rig the election for Petrelli, and Hana wants to stop it with our help (with finding the codes.)

Some clips from episode 19 are somewhere on the net and you NBC viewers have probably already seen the new trailer for the upcoming episodes on TV (which also can be found at NBC site.)
Just read this week's comic. That was awesome! Wasn't the speculation of Austin's and Dallas' true identities even guessed correctly in this thread earlier? I'm in a bit of a hurry catching up on threads right now, otherwise I'd check

Spoiler:
I'm sill trying to piece together the whole line of events after this now. It doesn't seem like Nathan and Peter's father has any special abilities, so my first guess right now is that their DNA was experimented on when they were really young by Linderman's company. For some reason though, that just doesn't sit well with me as an explanation. Anyone else have any thoughts?

So new heroes episode this monday... Any bets on what happens?

My bets are on Peter/Sylar/Mohinder all ending up alive.
Yeah it's about time. I tell ya, they keep pulling this crap and I'm going to lose interest in the show completely. I haven't even checked the weekly comic or Hana's site this week cause I've been getting busy with other stuff, but also because they decided to keep pulling the show off the air for weeks on end, so I haven't been thinking about it as much lately.

Anyways, I thought it was rumored that this next episode was going to be taking place in the future, and would raise even more questions.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

This was a planned hiatus, so it wasn't as if they were like "ahh, let's put it off one more week". They purposely divided the season into two parts.
I realize that, the fact of them breaking it up between Dec. and Jan. wasn't so bad, it was the holidays anyways. But then it felt like the show barely got started and then they decided to put the show on hold again for May sweeps. That's what's annoying me. Maybe it's because I hardly watch much TV in the first place, but when shows aren't consistent, I tend to lose interest in them.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Do you know what I noticed a while back?

The Pilot episode "Genesis" was 53 mins long (from my downloaded eps)
All of the following eps are around 42 mins.

So basically we have over 15 mins of commercial time. I hate it too.
I suspected as much when it kept feeling like the commercials would just keep on rolling. Sometimes I skip the TV broadcast and wait until the download becomes available to watch the episode that way since I hate how much the lengthy commercials break things up.

I find it interesting how the last time we saw the Haitian (in present timeline) was at Peter's apartment where Claire met her gramma.
It should be a cinch to stop Sylar or anyone else if he's around..
Spoiler tags just to be safe

Spoiler:
Yeah I was wondering the same thing since he was obviously alive in that future timeline, so there had better be a very good explanation as to where he went if he doesn't play a role in stopping the explosion

There's simply been too many times in the past where I assumed what I was posting was common knowledge by that point and I'd get someone who'd come in and get their pants in a bunch screaming about how I ruined part of the game/show/etc. for them by posting what I did without spoiler markings. Thus I try to take extreme caution now when posting about this stuff.

That was an amazing ending IMO

Spoiler:

I seriously didn't see Nathan actually letting his conscience win over. I knew it would be a good twist since Tim and his crew haven't disappointed me yet with the show, but that was just wow. It left so many questions too! Such as:

1.What happened to the hatian? He just disappeared as mentioned earlier in this thread.
2.Who is the man who can "see" Molly when she looks for him?
3.Was that trail of blood indicative that Sylar is still alive somehow?
4.How will Noah protect his family now? Especially since we don't even know what happened to his wife and son.
5.Was Peter still able to regenerate as was obvious he did in the nightmare future?

And plenty more, but I guess those are my top five for the time being. Still, even with all of that, I like the sense of closure that this brought. It really felt like a chapter has completed in the saga, and that they're ready to pick up with a whole new direction next season.

EDIT: Looks like Tim answered my question about Peter in the live blog.....sorta, and I guess I shouldn't be too surprised considering what a big role he played and all.

Does anyone know what the cockroach signifies?
All I remember is the lecture Mohinder was giving in the first episode about how he theorized that God was a cockroach. I'm not sure what connection, if any, that has though.

Just finished watching the series. I'm surprised how much I like it, as it's not usually the kind of thing I would enjoy. But I thought it was awesome.

Please some one tell me though why the Haitan shot Mr. Bennett at the end of that eppy, and didn't only just erase his mind. Also, what was the point of that scene if he just remembered about it afterward and found Claire again
I think it was a setup to make it look as though the Haitian had turned against Noah and the company, and kidnapped Claire. I don't recall Noah remembering what happened, only that he was relieved when he and Claire reunited at the end of the season.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
