I have so many games like this as well, it's almost depressing thinking about it. Some titles that I know off the top of my head:
SMT: DDS 1 - This one has a very awesome storyline, but man the humongous dungeons just give me this "ugh, not another dungeon already!" feeling every time I try to progress in the game. Maybe I'll suck it up and finish it at some point so I can move on to the unopened copy of DDS 2 I still have on my shelf. SMT: Nocturne - I started playing this game, and then just didn't quite continue it....I'm not sure why as the gameplay was enjoyable enough. I need to go back to this one. Fatal Frame 3 - Got to the point where I play as Mikku against that boss that she sees torn apart on the torture wheel before fighting, and with the incredible handicap that Mikku has against a boss whose window of opportunity for damaging it must literally be less than 1 second long, made me put this down. Once again, it had an awesome story and I was enjoying the gameplay otherwise up to that point. Resident Evil 4 - Similar to Fatal Frame 3. Got to the part where I was fighting El Gigante x2, and lost to the second one. The game had already felt like it should've ended about 2 hours prior to that point, so I shelved it because fighting El Gigante alone = not fun. Fighting El Gigante x2 = extremely annoying. Hunter The Reckoning: Wayward - Got to the werewolf fight, and the appeal of fighting the same damn werewolf that I had barely killed in the first one again was too unappealing to me for me to continue. Suikoden IV - Such a snooooooore fest. I kept going and going hoping it would get better and pick up to the pace that it had started out with, but no such luck. This may be another one I force myself to finish only because it's a Suikoden game, and I've finished all the other Suikoden titles that have been released stateside besides this one, and Suikoden Tactics which I haven't started yet since I haven't completed this one. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() Thank you Guest for the kickass signature! |
