ABSOLUTELY no output from my microphone
I got a Sound Blaster Audigy sound card that I've had for a couple of years now, and it's work fine...until right now. For some reason, I have absolutely no input from my microphone whatsoever. I've pretty much tried everything I know of shy of reinstalling my OS. I've:
1. Made sure the microphone was from PLAYBACK in the Sound control panel 2. Made sure the microphone was checked in the advanced control properties + Countless over drivel that I won't delve into. I've also checked this when using my friend's microphone set also, but the same result. I've tried even switching over to onboard sound, but alas, the same result. I'm chucking it up to be an OS driver/dll missing. My specs: XP Pro SP2 SB Audigy 8800GT 256MB A64 4000+ 2GB Corsair XMS Any idea? Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() [ SCHWARZE-5 - Helger Collins ]

Through the windows control panel. As my Audigy isn't high-end, it doesn't have the uber Creative control panel that'd come with something like, say an X-Fi. Playback, as in I don't hear myself talking through my headphones/speaker.
A pic of the Creative Audio Console has been attached. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() [ SCHWARZE-5 - Helger Collins ]
