I've used three different headsets with my PS3 (the PS2 USB headset, the Jabra BT125 (the one that came bundled with Warhawk here in the U.S.), and the Official PS3 headset), and the Official PS3 headset is by far the best one I've used. I've been using it for about a year now and haven't had any problems with it.
I'm wondering if the guy you talked to is confused about the functionality of the mute button. It's supposed to mute your mic so others can't hear you, not mute the voices of people talking to you. Otherwise, I haven't heard anything about people having lots of problems, and I've certainly never had any. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
