[PS3] GTA IV multiplayer thread [PS3]

I just got my copy about an hour or so ago, but I've yet to play it. I definitely want to get some single player done first before I jump into the multiplayer, so I probably won't be able to do so until this weekend.

Is anybody up for organizing a time for us to get together? It'd be great to get as many people as we can from here playing at once, so maybe everyone can post what day and time is best for them. As of now I'd be up for Saturday at 9PM Eastern, as it gives me some time to play the game during the day Saturday, and still get in early enough so that we can get a good amount of time in. I'm definitely up for whatever is best for everyone else, though, that's just my suggestion.

Sorry if I seem overly excited about all this, I just can't wait to play this game, both single and multiplayer. Oh, and my PSN name is RockgamerXIII by the way. I'll make sure to add everyone else who posted in here.

I'll finally be able to start the game today (and get a good six or seven hours in), so I'm still up for getting together tonight at 9PM EST if everyone else is. I know everyone probably can't make it, but hopefully we can get a decent turnout.

Damn, looks like it's a bust for me. I've tried going online three times now, and every time the game freezes up. I may keep trying a bit longer, but it seems hopeless for now.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

as it says, its not garunteed so if that doesn't work I'm guessing you'd have to wait for a patch that fixes it if thats possible.

Yep, I have a 60gb. I guess it wouldn't hurt to give this solution a try, but it's not gonna mess up my save data, right? I know they're different files saved in different areas, but I just want to make sure.

Holy shit, I tried it out and it actually worked! I have some free time now, so I guess I'll give the multiplayer a whirl. I still want to try and set up something more major though, maybe try again next Saturday or something.

And yeah, I agree about the headsets. It fucking sucks when just one person has a headset, and he's a jackass to boot. When I was playing Warhawk a couple of weeks back, it was only me and this one other guy who had a headset, and all he did was berate everyone on his team. As counterproductive as he was being, it probably would have been even worse if I started chewing him out, so I just bit my tongue for that match. I usually do use it though, and I'll be using for GTA right now (I use a Bluetooth headset by the way, though I also have a usb PS2 headset as well).

Anyway, on to some multiplayer GTA!
