[General Discussion] Do you buy used games/consoles?

I try to stay away from used games like the plague, but I'll concede if it's a really hard game to find new (most recently this happened with the original Mario vs Donkey Kong, which I had been trying to find new for for almost six moths before I finally broke down and bought a used copy for $20). Consoles though, I'd probably never buy one used, unless I was getting it from a friend (since I could hunt them down and hurt them if something was wrong with it).

Since most games get cheap no later than a year after they come out, I see no reason to buy a game used because it's cheap. I have such a large back log of games anyway that I don't mind waiting for a game to get cheap before I buy it.
