Pretty good episode storywise, but what was with some of the visuals? That plane didn't look to good, and I swear that footage of the F-18 pilot looked exactly like the pilot of the Stealth Fighter from last season. But I digress.
That whole thing with Miles was kinda obvious. The minute Karen told him, I was like "Oh shit he's planning something!". And of course, right when I think Logan isn't gonna pussy out of something for once, stupid Miles gives him a reason to. As for Heller, I wished they would have said a little more on how he survived. All we get is "Oh yeah, he was still alive when we got there". I know a lot of people didn't believe he was dead to begin with, but I still want a reasonable explanation as to why. Also, why isn't anyone questioning Logan's actions? Even without the evidence, these people have enough reason to believe that something is up with him. Between the whole 'wanting to arrest Jack without showing evidence as to why' thing, the whole shootout at the bank (did they not figure out that those were Logan's people fighting the police?), and now from the way he handled the whole plane incident, you would think that someone outside of the people who know he's guilty would have said something. As for how it compares to other seasons, I would say it's the most similar to season 4. I don't like to say any season is better than another (though I will admit that season 1 is still my favorite), but I will say this season is as good as season 4. It's impossible for Mary Lynn Rajskub to not be funny though. I think maybe only her and that black dude were the only funny ones on there. Most amazing jew boots ![]() |
Jack pawning Miles at the beginning was sweet.
Martha shooting that guy to save Aaron was awesome as well. She is so gonna hook up with him after Jack makes her a widow. It was pretty funny to see that Hendreson really was helping them, even though Jack and the others thought that he was betraying them. This definitely helped to show that Henderson used to work for CTU, and that he still has some love for his country. Why did that guy even open up the hatch on the submarine? CTU was already sending over teams to check out the area, so there was no need for him to check outside. Next Week:

It seems like he, just like a lot of others this season, are just thrown to the curb once their significance to the current story is over. I doubt he'll be back this season, unless it's just to take over for Logan in the last episode or something.

Yes, the music in season 5 is different than the music from seasons 1-3, which is what the soundtrack covers.
As for any other albums, FOX released downloadable albums for the soundtrack to the game and for a remix bundle that contains remix versions of the 24 Theme made by Armin Van Buurin. These were digital only, and were never released on CD. You can find them here. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Actually, he was fired from CTU by Erin Driscoll. Among other things from season 3, the fact that he had a cocaine addiction was one of the main reasons why he was fired. It's all on the prequel that was included on the season 3 DVD set (where you get to hear Jack curse!).
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
As for what he said, I think it was something like "I can find my own fucking job", which he said in response to Driscoll telling him she could help him get another job. Badass. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
Yeah, even if you want to be real specific, her first appearance was in the season 4 prequel that was only on the season 3 DVD, but even that was just the night before the start of season 4. They had obviously met and gotten together sometime before that, during a time which isn't covered in the series (since each season is like a year to 18 months after the previous season).

Eh, I wouldn't say that was one of the best finales of the series. It was good, no doubt, but it doesn't even go near the finales of the previous seasons.
I'm just gonna go ahead and say right off that I predicted the fact that Jack bugged Logan. As soon as he didn't shoot him, I said to myself that he somehow planted a bug on Logan. Lo and behold, I was right, which of course detracted from the whole situation. It still played out well, but I was disappointed that I was able to correctly predict what would happen. But I knew when a Chinese guy came up to Jack, telling him his daughter was on the phone inside the building, everybody should have predicted who was behind that. It was a good way to end the season though, and I hope they actually utilize it more next season than they did last season's finale this year (Jack's "death" really only factored into the first couple of episodes this season). As for the rest of the episode, it was mainly just classic 24 material. That's in no way bad, but I usually expect a little more from the finale. Good season overall, but definitely not my favorite. I just remembered something: Where the hell is Graham? Nothing happened to him at all in the end. Hell, Logan is the only person who even knows of his existence as far as we know. That pretty much guarantees he's gonna have to come back during some point in the series, unless they just made the most pointless villain in 24 history. They could made some kind of huge twist with him at the end, like maybe one of the good guys was working with him the whole time or something. Anything instead of just plain ignoring him.

1>3>4>2>5 Season 1 will probably always be my favorite. Everything just worked right (like the writers knew from the beginning what the overall plan was), the threat was personal, and it still has the best season finale of them all (how is Jack owning the Drazens, everyone finding out Nina is the mole, and Teri getting killed not constitute the best finale so far). I personally think that no other season has or ever will surpass it, but that' just me. I know a lot of people seem to hate season 3, but I never really understood why. I think Chase was a great addition, Kim stopped having totally stupid plots, and it just had a lot of surprising moments that worked out great. People probably didn't like the amount of deaths (Nina, Chappelle, Sherri, etc.), but I think they at least worked more in the context of the season than those of season 5. Overall, it just had the most different feel than the seasons before it, while still retaining most of what made them good. Season 4, while probably having the biggest season to season change, still managed to pull everything together by the halfway point and turn it into a great season. One of the different things that I thought worked really well was the change in villains and threats. All the other seasons had one main threat with a different progression of villains, but this one had (for the most part) one main villain with a different progression of threats. I enjoyed that, and all the other usual surprises, for the most part. Back to season 2, just like I said above, it had its moments, but seems pretty weak overall. The main memorable things were the bombing of CTU, Nina coming back, and Mason's death. Other than that though, everything else seems kinda average. Not to say that this is bad or anyhting, but most of the other seasons manage to surpass it, in my opinion. Season 5 was definitely the weakest so far, though. This season didn't seem very focused at all. I mean, the only real threats (the attack at the airport, the nerve gas, and the missles from the sub) didn't even seem that serious compared to those of the other seasons. Not only that, but with the exception of the nerve gas, the threats only lasted like two episodes each, which is kind of lame. I'll give props to some of the characters, but this season as a whole was definitely pretty weak overall, and that's why it's my least favorite out of all of them. These are all just my opinions, though. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
Nice find with that picture, though!
But seriously, the only thing I could find wrong was on #7. Didn't they say the attack only killed off 40% of CTU staff? I could be wrong (it is four in the morning here), but that's what I remember hearing. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Yep, it's been like that for the last two seasons. I've learned to deal with it though, because it's way better than the alternative, which is what they did during seasons 1-3 (starting in September, taking like a month-long hiatus for baseball, couple of more episodes, another break, and then the rest of the season, sometimes with another break or two thrown in).

Some interesting news...
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
If 24 could only win one of those awards, I hope Jean Smart wins for playing Martha Logan. Martha was definitely the best new character this season, and Jean Smart's performance was superb. I want the show to win all the awards it's nominated for, but especially that one.
I of course would also like to see Kiefer Sutherland win for once, but it seems like they'll never give him the award no matter how good he is. Maybe since a lot of the bigger names (like James Gandolfini or last year's winner, James Spader) aren't on there, he'll stand a chance this year. As for the show's actual chances of winning, I highly doubt it will win all of them. Just looking at the best drama category, Grey's Anatomy is definitely the highest rated show out of the group, so that might help it's chances. House had pretty strong ratings this season as well, but I don't think they were as high as last year's (I still haven't definitively heard whether 24 or House was FOX's highest rated scripted series this year, though I think it was 24). I've heard that a lot of people though that the last season of The Sopranos was pretty weak, so I doubt it will win. As for The West Wing, that show probably stands the most chance of winning. Most people said this last season was an improvement over other recent seasons, and the fact that this was the show's last year on the air definitely helps its chances. But no matter what, 12 nominations alone is already a good thing. I doubt the show will walk away totally empty-handed (it always wins some of those creative arts emmys), but even if it did, having the most nominations out of any television show is still something to be proud of. I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
Interesting news today, though it might be considered spoilers for some:
Spoiler:
That's certainly an interesting turn of events, and I hope they explain how it happens. Either way, it turns him into a much more important character (though of course he was already important to some degree) than I ever thought he would be. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
