I finally got around to buying some DVDs I've been wanting for a while. First, I was finally able to find the Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum Collection at a store, which is fucking awesome since I thought I was going to have to order it online. But lo and behold, the new Best Buy in town had it, and for only $58. Second, I finally got Gantz volume 10, which I could never find when I actually had any money. Now I can finally finish up this series, making it only the second series that I've managed to collect all the single volumes of (Gungrave being the first).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Picked up four things today: Vampire Hunter D novels 2 and 3, and Rurouni Kenshin volumes 18 and 19. I'm trying to collect all the Vampire Hunter D novels (when they're released), even though I haven't read one yet (I know they'll be good, since the movies are). I got Kenshin in anticipation of getting the second season on DVD, which I hope to do soon. Just like elwe, I want to see what's really supposed to happen after the Kyoto arc. I was gonna get volume 20 as well, but decided to get hold off on it (and the rest of the volumes) for now.

Which one did you get? Aren't there like two or three different manga versions of Escaflowne?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I finally picked up the movie Perfect Blue today, after looking at it but never getting it for years. I finally seen for less than $30 (it was $20), so I had to get it this time. I also picked up Tokyo Babylon, since it seemed pretty cool and was only $10.

If you don't mind me asking, where are you getting them from? I've been looking to buy Futurama and Family Guy on DVD, and $20 each is a good deal.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I finally bought Akira on DVD. I already own it on VHS, but I'm trying to upgrade all the titles that I care about on VHS to DVD. Because no one watches videostapes anymore.

I found this GitS novel called Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex: The Lost Memory at Barnes & Noble. I had never heard of it, but since I like GitS and it was cheap (only $9), I decided to go ahead and get it. It seems pretty interesting, and it will give me my GitS fix now that 2nd Gig is done airing on Adult Swim.

I recently bought the Elfen Lied boxset at Best Buy for $32 (though I used a gift card). I had downloaded this show once before, but something happened that I wasn't able to watch it and I had to delete it for some reason (I honestly don't remember). So I get to watch it now, though I was disappointed to find out that the OVA isn't included.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

In anticipation of getting Rurouni Kenshin Season Two (which I'm finally about to put an order in for at Right Stuf) I bought a few more volumes of the manga, volumes 20 and 21. The plan is to watch Season Two of the anime (the Kyoto arc), and then read the manga (volumes 18-28) to get the rest of the story rather then watch Season Three, which almost everyone says sucks.

I also got a few more anime-related novels: the third Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex novel, White Maze, and the fourth Vampire Hunter D novel, Tale of the Dead Town. I didn't realize that it was the third GitS novel that I picked up (I was deciding between this one and the second one, but took this one since there was only one copy left as opposed to the four copies left of the second one), so for now I only have the first and the third one. As for the VHD novels, I now have the first four, though I realize that the first six are out already now.

This may be my last DN fix. Ever.
You could always rewatch the series when it comes out on DVD here. You can go play the DS game (even though you can't understand it). You can make up your own adventures with those action figures you just bought! You just can't let it end. Ever.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
