It may or may not work (a vague answer I know), it depends where and what files the game needs to install to run. A complex game like WOW will probably require files outside the WOW directory and will almost definitely need to write entries to the Registry.
If you install the game on the computer labs computer choosing the flash drive as the installation destination it may well work, however installing it on the dorm computer and copying the WOW folder across to the flash drive would probably be less successful. But hey it can work, my dad did something similar with some of his games (I forget which ones) and the only one that had major problems was Soldier of Fortune. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Xellos, Yeah thats pretty similar to what my dad did, I was suprised to find that some of his games still worked although Soldier of Fortune wouldn't play ball.
If thats the case then it should work, let us know how it goes Viperas! There's nowhere I can't reach. |
