Sounds like the USB port got shorted and fried the USB bus. taking off the ports isn't going to help at all because the circuit driving them is on the mainboard.
You might have to buy another mother board. They are about 20-50$ for a cheep one. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
Additional Spam: Maybe the USB port its-self is still lose and is shorting out the USB bus? There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]()
