iBook LCD fading?

I recently bought an iBook G4. (About a month ago.)
I just read a comment posted on a news site that said, basically, that the iBook LCD screen fades and is almost unusable after a year or so.
Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? :\

It seems a bit dim, but from what ive heard they all are.

I'm glad I don't have anything to worry about, I love my iBook.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
