Hachifusa, I'm almost like you.
I think a trick is to make them like you and then step down a bit. Observe what kind of person they are and try to adapt their behavior. You can do weird jokes once in awhile, people will find it funny. But it's not funny if you do it all the time. This is my look on it  How ya doing, buddy?
