Shoot I had a decent amount to say about all of these but then firefox crashed so I lost a bunch of different posts aaaaafgdkflgj.
3 Points) 2197 - Blood vessel of city 2 Points) Asterisk - Twilight Langure 1 Point) Starry Tales Soundtrack - Post Production Mitsuto Suzuki Mix A.R.E.S Extinction Agenda Original Soundtrack - Junkyard (Level I) is pretty close to getting a point but it didn't Anyways it was basically like: 2197 - Blood vessel of city: WOW I LOVE odd time signatures AND polymeter AND cool synth sounds I LOVE YOU AYAKO SASNOONONrklg. tTTThank you for the 7/8 against 11/8 (6+5) polymeter that is like the coolest thing ever; even more layered polymeter if you count that bass drum before it kicks in as 4/4 under it all. SLAP BASS funk zone. This is actually probably one of my favorite pieces of music by a video game music composer (which means "this is actually probably one of my favorite pieces of music") that I can think of at this point!!! Then 2:35 comes in with the ridiculous awesome syncopation and transposy stabbing chords and THIS IS SO PERFECT for me. Oh wait I nominated it okay that's why. A.R.E.S Extinction Agenda Original Soundtrack - Junkyard (Level I): Heavy reverby feel is so cool. The crazy panning beepy sounds are so cool beep beep beep beep beep I lIke mechanical sounds. This is pretty heavy and cool. WOW I can't believe I didn't notice the VINCE DICOLA reference until DarkComet72 pointed it out. That makes me like it even more! Asterisk - Twilight Langure: I LOVE roland sound canvas semi-latin jazz that has odd time signatures/meter changes in it at some of the parts. It is one of my favorite "genres." (not that I can think of much else in this "genre"). That "101 - FX 5 (brightness)" and "92 - Pad 4 (choir)" are especially appealing to me. oh and SLAP BASS zone too I forgot about that/\[][\. Donald Land (Game Rip) - Pond World (& Ghost Town World): Jazz is funny when all of the notes are the same volume. This doesn't really appeal to me at all it's too short and nothing that really interests me happens in it unfortunately. Sorry! Sonic Advance 2 (Game Rip) - Music Plant Act 2: I like this game a lot and I like a lot of the music from this soundtrack a lot. I never particularly liked Music Plant Act 2 though, I liked Act 1 more. It's still significant to me though. Starry Tales Soundtrack - Post Production Mitsuto Suzuki Mix: The way the chord progression works here appeals to me a lot. This is pretty. This has electric drumset sounds that I like. This has a lot of sine wave sounds, I like the sine wave-y sounds as the main backing that eventually turn into more chromatic-angular-based sine wave notes fading in/out of the pretty notes. How ya doing, buddy? |
Nomination
Album: Sonic Battle (Game Rip) Artist: Hideaki Kobayashi Track Title: Demo 5 Year: 2003 Source: Hideaki Kobayashi - Sega Retro Haha just realized this fits with both the whole "Hideaki Kobayashi" deal and "GBA Sonic Game" deal of this finishing up week. There's nowhere I can't reach.
