Damn. I'd rather have the game sooner than later, regardless of whether or not it's tacked on. Hopefully it will at least take advantage of more than just the controller, as Miyamoto doesn't specifically say what (personally I'm hoping for it using the online service, for downloadables).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

On the contrary, I'm as chagrined as anyone over the delay (it could very well mean I don't get to play it for another two years, but that's a long story), but it's only being done because it's a good business decision. They've got a game that's pretty much guarenteed to sell like crazy, do they a) release it purely for itself on a console that's currently last in sales worldwide, or b) use it to plug their new console that they very much need to make a comeback with?

On another note, (and I know it's me partially wanting to believe this), but it's hard to believe that a company that creates more games, on average, than any other single company, would delay a nearly finished game for ~6-8 months solely to add some finishing touches and add a new input method. According to Nintendo, we still won't know everything that's supposedly "revolutionary" about the Revolution until E3 of this year, so hopefully it might take advantage of whatever that is.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Because it's a Gamecube game that's pretty much finished already. Updating a game from one system to a new one has historically always been difficult, and the finished product never seems quite right. Word is they're already working on a Revolution Zelda title, anyways. :unexpected:

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Or, you know, maybe he just pressed the quote button.

Yeah, you can turn it off.

The more I play it, the more I know that Gamespot review is a load of shit. Yeah, so the music is midi, it still sounds fantastic. And he can hardly blame Zelda for the Wiimote having such a small, crappy speaker - and even then, I love the way Midna's laugh sounds on it. He's got a point with the lack of voice acting, the lack of which is perhaps a tradition the Zelda series needs breaking, but the game still doesn't warrant the sound score it received.

As far as gameplay with the Wiimote goes, I wouldn't say the sword controls are technically any better or worse than using a button, but they certainly are more fun. Everything else, on the other hand, particularly aiming, is a helluva lot better with the Wiimote.

Meh, whatever. I think the real low blow comes when you look at some of the crap they've rated better. Final Fantasy VIII? Daxter? Perfect Dark Zero?

I was speaking idiomatically.

Oh, and wooo! TP finally got enough reviews to get added to the list on Game Rankings. I see none of the other reviewers agree with Gamespot, either.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Well, the mere fact of it happening leads to wondering why it happens, and anyone with any deductive skill whatsoever can come up with a few probable reasons. So no, perhaps it's not direct spoiling, but I'd still very much like to avoid indirect spoiling. Futhermore, any time you write a sentence that confirms something and contains the words "the ending," a spoiler alarm should be going off in your head.

Yeah, there is. The - button gets you the item ring and + button shows you the collection page, which shows stuff like that, allows you to save, etc.

As far as sword controls go, I think Wii is better for the spin attack and some of the hidden skills, but other than that the functionality is about the same. Aiming, of course, is loads better, and you will find yourself aiming a lot more than in other Zelda games.

It's not like Twilight Princess would have geography all that similar to Ocarina of Time either way.

How ya doing, buddy?

In both doesn't it rise by what the map would seem to indicate as north and set in the south? Mirroring doesn't change that.

Either way, Hyrule Castle, Zora's Domain, the Lost Woods, and Death Mountain are nowhere near the same places. Only Lake Hylia and the Gerudo Desert are even close, and not particularly, at that.

So basically, almost everyone complained about the game being pushed back for a year, but now that it's out a lot of people think the last half was rushed and should have been developed even longer?
