Not unsurprisingly:
StarmanDX -- StarmanDX Anyone play Garry's Mod much? Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() Bless the Maker and His water. Bless the coming and the going of Him. |
While that is one of its uses, I much prefer the construction/playing with physics side of it. Constructing vehicles, arranging NPC wars, filling the map with bouncy, weightless explosive barrels; stuff like that.
The first "vehicle" I ever constructed, if you can call it that, was merely two dumpsters welded together with me inside, and with attached thrusters. Later I also realized I could make them transparent, so I could tell where I'm going. And yes, it was quite dangerous for all involved parties. My brother once made a submarine that could both float on water and submerge, and fire explosive barrel torpedoes. GMod 9 also had several game modes. In one, teams built their own forts then played a "hold the flag" style game. In another, one team plays as birds trying to poop on the human's heads, and the other team is the humans trying to shoot the birds down. There's also Melon Racing, Hide and Seek, Soccer, Freeze Tag, and more. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() Bless the Maker and His water. Bless the coming and the going of Him. |
Matt, any chance you can get our Group page to display our gameplay stats over on the right? I've only seen a few groups do it, but it should be possible.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() Bless the Maker and His water. Bless the coming and the going of Him. |
Ah, apparently it only works if your group is private, and perhaps only as long as it's under a certain number of members. Take, for example, these poor fools who have played a combined total of 286.1 hours of Counter-Strike this week (and two of them haven't even played it much).
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() Bless the Maker and His water. Bless the coming and the going of Him. |
We might be starting up a GFF game of TF2 soon if anyone wants to join. Come to the group chat room if you're interested.
Hopefully the "Last Five Posts" feature helps people see this. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() Bless the Maker and His water. Bless the coming and the going of Him. |
Ack. Well, we had a server until a moment ago. I don't know what we're going to do now.

I'd certainly like to try my hand at it, but don't forget that we can have multiple admins if anyone else does as well.
I haven't been playing TF2 as much as of late, but the overhaul should revitalize my interest when it finally comes out. And maybe we'll get a weekly TF/CS/DM thing going on Fridays/Saturdays. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() Bless the Maker and His water. Bless the coming and the going of Him. |
Since we apparently don't have a general TF2 (aside from the Beta one) or Orange Box thread and I don't want to start a new one just for this, I'm putting these here (since it should interest most of us here anyways). First, an update from a couple days ago that I nearly missed:
And the other, supposedly an email from Robin Walker of Valve noting the canning of the Medic Overhealer:
On the plus side a pyro buff would be nice, especially in pyro vs. soldier. Most amazing jew boots ![]() Bless the Maker and His water. Bless the coming and the going of Him. |
