Yeah, I can't get over the feeling that this has to be a joke.

At any rate, it better not be delayed in North America. If the inclusion of Sonic has anything to do with it, it's not worth it.

How ya doing, buddy?

Final Destination in my opinion is best summed up as fair.
Except, of course, when your preferred character had projectiles and your opponent's didn't. Which, unsurprisingly, is why Sheik, Falco laser spammers, and Samus crouch cancellers were tourney fanboy favorites. If anything, Battlefield is the stage that comes closest to being "fair", but certain characters will always have advantages at certain stages.

And then there's the aspect of being able to adapt to various stages that most tourney fanboys prefer to be blissfully ignorant of. I've always wanted to somehow sabatoge a tournament so that they can only play at Poké Floats, just to see how many would forfeit. With all items on, even. *gasp!*

"Forget this I'm going home to pwn some n00bs at Counter Strike."

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Oh, I agree, I think I just have abnormally bad luck in meeting the more annoying of them (mostly through school, but a couple of my friends and my own brother joined their ranks). So I'm hoping my luck doesn't transfer to Brawl's online matches.

On a similar note, even if they do get rid of wavedashing and other current exploits (wavedashing being the least among them), I have no doubts that there will be plenty of new exploits to find in Brawl. =/

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I think that Final Destination's size is such that even if you didn't have projectiles while they did you'd still be able to close the gap quickly enough so that the other player shouldn't be able to put on too much damage. I'll say that while Final Destination's open top terrain does lend itself towards projectiles, but as long as you know how to dodge and dash, its a very puny advantage.
Um, I'm not following your logic here. Because it's huge, that makes closing the gap easier how, exactly? Besides, it's not about putting on damage, but disruption.

Quote:
Also, I always though Fox, Shiek and Samus' popularity was due to their speed and combo ability (moreso Fox and Shiek than Samus), not because of their projectiles.
Moreso Falco because his laser causes flinching, and the same thing for Sheik's throwing knives. Yes, their speed and combos are the primary reason for their popularity, but their projectiles can be quite a bonus if used correctly, especially at Final Destination.

Samus not so much for speed, of course, but because crouch cancelling works especially well with her. Her projectiles aren't as good, but can still be helpful for disruption... again, especially at Final Destination.

Yes, I realize I sound like a tourney fanboy. I've been around them too much. ._.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Huge? Final Destination? What? You clearly must not have played on Temple much... Although maybe in comparison to say, Yoshi's Island's main platform but still...
More like, in comparison to practically everything but Temple, Final Destination is huge. And Temple is far from being flat. But, you know, thanks for the retarded insinuation that I haven't played it much, that really helps your argument.

Note that I never said I didn't want Final Destination in Brawl - in fact, I do. My argument was simply that it isn't the most fair level. You clearly must not have played against any players who are good with projectiles.

I was speaking idiomatically.

My preference would be a system where you can unlock everything in the game via either multiplayer matches or the other modes; but if you did it with multiplayer it'd take a lot longer than doing the "other modes" option. Like, beat singleplayer with 5 characters or play 250 matches total to unlock some random character. That kind of thing. That way everyone can choose their own unlock path but at the same time you don't have everything unlocked after 15 minutes of playing.
Melee already had a system exactly like that, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it back in Brawl. These were the numbers:

Quote:
Alternate Character Unlocks
To unlock characters a different way, you must must play a certain number of Vs. matches.

Dr. Mario - 100 vs. matches
Falco - 300 vs. matches
Ganondorf - 600 vs. matches
Jigglypuff - 50 vs. matches
Luigi - 800 vs. matches
Marth - 400 vs. matches
Mewtwo - 700 vs. matches
Mr. Game & Watch - 1,000 vs. matches
Pichu - 200 vs. matches
Roy - 900 vs. matches
Young Link - 500 vs. matches

How ya doing, buddy?

And, why would some of you guys think that this is likeened to Mario Kart? Don't think that just because these items get on the battle stages, that it will be almost like Mario Kart. Because it isn't.

And no, the 4th player won't receive all those cool items. All players will. It just depends on who gets them first.

Did you not see the updates to the Smash Dojo site. I think you need to read again with the headline talking about the Smash Ball. And I quote;

And I'm pretty sure that you can turn off the handicap. You can do it in Melee, having no handicaps.
And I think you need to read that same update again. We're talking about Pity Final Smashes, the kind that the player in fourth can spawn with. The question is whether or not regular Final Smashes can still be on while Pity Final Smashes are turned off.

Anyways, I'm hoping they're only likely if the player in fourth is far enough behind that 3 ko's wouldn't make much of a difference. Either way, they'll probably be annoying but not tide-turning.

FELIPE NO

Except some of us might want Final Smashes on without having the Pity version on.

Damn, how many times does this have to be said before people understand?

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Afterall, most of Mario's moves (Fireball, cape, jump attack) come from when he was still 2D. That leads me to believe Paper Mario would most likely pass at a clone at best.
Not the best use of logic there. You haven't actually played a Paper Mario game, have you?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

This is the Challenges screen.
Heh, so Dragoon isn't the only thing from Kirby Air Ride that'll be in the game.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
