This seems kinda silly. If he was in the stands it's legal, but once he's on the sidelines it's not allowed? This article does a decent job of expressing my feelings on the subject: The Patriots really aren't that sleezy. I don't see how it's that big of a deal.
Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() "Oh sirrah" -Hedonism Bot |
So, I'm sure a bunch of you will disagree with me on this, but if you're down 3 points, with effectively no time left and have fourth-and-goal at the 1 yard line, the correct call is to run for the touchdown.
You have about a 75% chance of scoring and winning the game immediately (stats grabbed from TMQ), and if your kicker makes the field goal (about 99% likely), then you've merely avoided losing for the moment. You still have to play overtime in which the team that wins the flip is significantly more likely to win the game. Brian Billick played not to lose and I can't fucking believe we gave him a 3 year extension. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() "Oh sirrah" -Hedonism Bot |
I don't know if I was imagining this, but it seemed to me as though both the Jags and Colts had an absurd number of botched catches by the receivers. Of course then again, Brady's only two incompletions were perfect passes to his receivers.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() "Oh sirrah" -Hedonism Bot |
