I've been playing fallout every now and then but don't know it well enough to do Iron Man and by now and then I mean about an hour every week or so. But anyway, the reason I'm posting is that I run fallout in a window because I simply can't stand running it fullscreen (unless I'm on my laptop and want to see things).
I was asked about it in a PM so here it is:

It's a program called D3DWindower. I'm not sure where I got it from, but googling gives this link which I'm 99% sure is the same program: http://files.filefront.com/D3DWindow.../fileinfo.html
The readme is in japanese, so it takes a little trial and error to get it working, but it's not terribly involved. After running the D3Dwindower executable, a window comes up with a few buttons. Hit the + button and search for the fallout1/2 executable (probably works with other programs too) and add it. Click on the second button from the right, check windowed mode and then exit D3Dwindower. Then open it again (for some reason it doesn't work unless I exit it, again it's in japanese so maybe it tells you to do this) and either click on the computer icon or double click the name and it should work. If not fiddle around with it and I'm sure you'll get it working without too much trouble. I'll probably post this in Brady's Fallout thread .

Jam it back in, in the dark.
