Okay, so I said this before: PSO is the best game ever. I regret saying that. PSU is now the best game ever. It's just pure sex. And that may very well be the nerdiest thing I've ever said, but it's all true.

I spoke too soon when I was praising this game so much. The difficulty is really uneven. At this point, I have no idea how I'm supposed to lvl up without playing the same first two missions for 5 hours. Everytime I attempt to play a more difficult mission somewhere, I get kicked out by higher lvl players who think I'm a n00b because I don't stay up all night grinding, and the missions are too hard to take on myself. I'm actually stuck on a mmorpg, I can't believe it. I've had this game since launch day and I'm only lvl 7.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

How do I use Resta? I know I have to equip it with a weapon, but I'm a human, do I have to equip it with clubs or is there a weapon I CAN use that I can equip it with? I hate having to use mates, hence why I never use casts even on PSO.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

How the heck does everyone get so much meseta? I'm almost lvl 9 and I'm still using ALL my starting items, simply because I can't afford anything else. All my money goes to monomates pretty much. And it doesn't help that I spent 800 on Resta which I can't use. I only have 1000 meseta right now and I'm about to use it to stock up on more monomates.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet up with you tonight, it's been busy (Halloween). I'm gonna get on in a bit and if I don't see you, I'll try to catch up with you tomorrow evening. Do you have shop set up? I can search for your name and meet up with you that way.

Each mission is separated into "blocks". Blocks are the sections of the level, and there's usually 3 or 4. You walk in the game, and if there's already people playing and they're already at block 2 or 3, you can go to a checkpoint crystal near the entrance to warp to whatever block they're in. The blocks are basically like how Caves 2 and 3 are in the Caves level, if you ever played PSO.

Gameplay wise, it depends on what class you have. I'm a hunter. You can lock onto enemies and strafe around them while attacking. It's very similar to the later Zelda games (OoT and forward). As a hunter, you mash the attack button to attack in combos consisting of three slashes. If you played PSO, you already know this. You also have these things called Photon Arts, which are special moves you can buy and equip with your weapon. You can use the special moves anytime, but it drains PP energy which can be charged back up again. If you're using a single-handed weapon, you can equip a separate weapon, such as a handgun, as your secondary weapon and you can hold a button while pressing attack to use that one instead of your primary weapon. Dual-welding in other words.

I hope that answers your question, I don't think I can explain EVERYTHING in this game in one post, mainly because I still haven't experienced everything.

Heh, I've had it since launch and I'm only lvl 14. I'm playing as much as I can stomach, I'll put it that way. As much as I love this game, I can only play so much of ANY game at once or in a day before I get really, really bored. I don't have an addictive personality, I have the total opposite.

I usually complete two missions and log off for the day. Maybe I'll have to push myself to do more than that so I can finally drop the n00b status.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I don't have cards from anyone here. I'll be at the Parum Flyer Base at that time anyway at universe 4 to make a trade with Para, I'll see if any of you are around while I'm at it.

PSO wasn't that bad, it was just the hacking community that fucked things up for others. Blue Burst had a great community...sometimes. Since most of the players were PSO vets, some of them would get pissy if you asked them n00b questions. However, there were several guilds you could join (I'm in team jeM for example), and they're usually pretty friendly.

PSU is so-so. There's people that play all night and day to get up to the current lvl cap and laugh at others below lvl 20. I've been kicked out of games like 10 times because my lvl is too low, or sometimes I wasn't kicked but I'd be treated like a little kid and received comments from party members like "*sigh* not ANOTHER lvl 7. Go play the first level, n00b". At times I'd have to make my own games and struggle with solo on a hard level just to get away from the higher lvl players (and I refuse to play the first mission in the game for 5-10 hours to get to a higher lvl). It's not so bad now though, I'm lvl 16 where a lot of people seem to be now.

Just warez the PC version. There's no serial number or anything, all you have to do is make an account which is $10 a month. That'll save you $50.

Personally, I say if you have a PS2, get the PS2 version. Then if you want to play the PC version, get it from a torrent. Since you already paid for it for PS2, you can live without the guilt of stealing. Of course, Sega would probably want you to buy it twice, but once is enough for me at least. I bought it for PS2 and got the PC version on sale at the torrent store. Which works great since I have PC problems from time to time anyway and I prefer console gaming.

Yes, you can share your account on PC and PS2. Everything is saved on the servers, so if you decide to play on PC you'll have everything you did on PS2 minus your Story Mode progress (which is only saved on the memory card). You can't use your 360 character on PS2 or PC since 360 is on a different server entirely, but I'm sure you already knew that.

No, you're not. I remember playing a mission with some strangers one time and someone was complaining about running so slow compared to everyone else, but I thought that person just bumped their head or something.

When I play the PC version (which is rarely), I use a controller. I have an Xbox to PC USB adapter, so I use an Xbox controller with the buttons mapped like PSOX was. It's pretty nice.

I have a feeling we won't be seeing much more than that. Even with the new planet, it might add two new small areas to do runs in. To me it's just like a slightly bigger PSO. I was REALLY hoping for more levels overall, that was the only major flaw with PSO and they didn't fix it here.

No, it's entirely different than PSO's offline. The single player here is worth buying even if you don't plan on playing online. It has a story, cutscenes, and characters unlike PSO's online. Infact, you don't get to make your own character until you unlock Extra Mode, the rest of the time you have to play as the main character named Ethan.
