Escape from Delirium (Game Rip) - Fade to dark really does sound like it's from a game called 'Escape from Delirium'. I like the gentle and scratchy build and the breathing effects, it all makes a somewhat hypnotic sound. Infiltrator - Infiltrator is also high quality music. The drive and thick synth work keeps me very interested throughout. Nervous Brickdown (Game Rip) - Paper (Stage) is wonderfully creative, and infectiously memorable. Nothing but good things to say about this one, I'll definitely be listening to it again. Niizuma wa Sailor Fuku ~My Darling is the Teacher in Charge~ Original Soundtrack - Jump is actually a tiny bit underwhelming after those first three tracks. But still, it's a very engaging track from Kikuta, and is the bright spark from an otherwise terribly mundane score. nouvelle vague -G.S.M. Taito 7- - Rising is middling, and a bit of a letdown after the first four tracks. The guitar noodling is a bit too reserved for my liking, while the percussion has too much prominence. It all sounds a tad messy too. The Book of Unwritten Tales (Game Rip) - Gnome Theme is such an orion SotW nomination. Whimsical orchestral stuff like this is usually fairly agreeable, occassionally with a nice melodic ring to it. This one succeeds in the former category though is lacking in the latter. Pleasant if inconsequential overall though. The Witcher (Game Rip) - The Witcher Theme is solid, but the composition doesn't get to explore its true potential in my opinion. There's something a bit off about the fiddle-guitar layering at the end, too; could've been much more effective. Trouble Witches AC -Daughters of Amalgam- Soundtrack - Rondo of the Frozen Whales (Stage03) is boring, and just doesn't do anything of note during it's near-5 minute duration. POINTS 2 points: Nervous Brickdown (Game Rip) - Paper (Stage) 2 points: Niizuma wa Sailor Fuku ~My Darling is the Teacher in Charge~ Original Soundtrack - Jump 1 point: Infiltrator - Infiltrator 1 point: Escape from Delirium (Game Rip) - Fade to dark 5th: The Book of Unwritten Tales (Game Rip) - Gnome Theme 6th: The Witcher (Game Rip) - The Witcher Theme 7th: Trouble Witches AC -Daughters of Amalgam- Soundtrack - Rondo of the Frozen Whales (Stage03) 8th: nouvelle vague -G.S.M. Taito 7- - Rising Pretty good week, though the first four are much better than the others. I must get this Nervous Brickdown gamerip from Drakken. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
