Wow BZ, you're right! Aozora Magiccer!! Original Soundtrack - Run Through the Forest does sound like something that could've been in FFX-2~! Putting that compliment/criticism aside, I really enjoy this track. It's danceable, funky, and contains some awesome melodies. Each passage has its own distinct melody, which makes this track a really fun one to listen to! The opening really hooks me in every single time, it's great.
Cybattler (Game Rip) - MISSION 1: INTERCEPTION had a really fun drive and enthusiastic nature. But it's always important for a track to back up those traits with a solid melody. The melody here is decent, but not as catchy or memorable as I would have liked. Still, a fairly fun listen! 'K lemme see what all the fuss is about----- how disappointing. In its nature, Onimusha 2 Orchestra Album ~Taro Iwasiro Selection~ - Chapter VII Truth of Guile is just so dull, sorry guys I just can't get into this one. I thought that for the first couple of minutes it was just an extensive buildup (ala gracemeria)*, but no, it persisted through the whole 5 minutes. The strings melody was nice at times, but not nice enough. (dull orchestral tracks are my pet hate)I love the Phantom Kingdom soundtrack, it's wonderful. I haven't heard the arrange album, so I have high hopes for Phantom Kingdom Arrange Album - Alexander the God of Destruction! And yes, it's a pretty great arrangement overall. The blend of instrumental exoticism and entertaining electronica is truly a treat to the ears! =3 Powerslave (Saturn Red Book Audio) - End Credits is a solid piece of easy (world) listening. I really like the ethnic accentuations and the overall smooth, graceful development. The melody's not too engaging, but damn, this is a nice track all right. (niggle: the percussion is a tad too emphasised at points) Sagaia (Saturn Game Rip) - Jamming didn't really do anything for me. I like the introduction of the melody, but after that things just wear so thin and my interest wanes. 2 sonic tracks in two weeks, aye? I was thinking of nominating one, too. Super Mega Drive Fan - Mega Drive Super Music Collection Vol.2 - AFTER-6290 MIX [Sonic the Hedgehog CD], also, didn't really do anything for me. I can appreciate the bubbly nature to an extent, but there's not really a solid composition to back it up. If there was a better melody, I would've been all over this.Wangan Midnight Soundtrack - Keiichi Aizawa's Theme is a great track. It's fun-loving, and has an infectious sound about it. The cute little synth melody is great, too, and the choral work is just as as it is awesome. A great Wangan Midnight piece, for sure.i'm just not feeling this POINT 2 points: Aozora Magiccer!! Original Soundtrack - Run Through the Forest 2 points: Wangan Midnight Soundtrack - Keiichi Aizawa's Theme 1 point: Powerslave (Saturn Red Book Audio) - End Credits 1 point: Phantom Kingdom Arrange Album - Alexander the God of Destruction 5th: Cybattler (Game Rip) - MISSION 1: INTERCEPTION 6th: Super Mega Drive Fan - Mega Drive Super Music Collection Vol.2 - AFTER-6290 MIX [Sonic the Hedgehog CD] 7th: Sagaia (Saturn Game Rip) - Jamming 8th: Onimusha 2 Orchestra Album ~Taro Iwasiro Selection~ - Chapter VII Truth of Guile A slightly above-average week. All of the tracks had at least something I enjoyed, if only for 5 seconds, so that's nice. * just realised BZ said the exact same thing, but he wasn't talking about the track I was talking about :P Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Nomination #9
Composer: Martin Iveson Game: Wonder Dog (Sega CD Redbook Audio) Track Title: Dogsville Track Number: 6 Year: 1992 *woof to the ftp of zoom~?* There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Bleh. Sorry people, I just don't get what's so great about the Onimusha track. Otherwise, some pretty decent results. Although why did "End Credits" perform so badly.
![]() Also, this is my 4th silver (out of 8 noms!) Most amazing jew boots
