I'm wondering is anyone else getting HUGE loading times in the game?

I'm talking plus 1 minute for some areas? Sometimes my ingame cut scenes look up too

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Agreed, I think the battle system is good but damn some of those long runs through places suck.

I think this is a mix of FFVIII and FFX, maybe a splash of IX.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Hey guys I just have a question for those that have beaten or about 20 hours in it about an enemy
Spoiler:
Is there anyway to beat the elementals? Especially in the storm giza planes and the desert? Perhaps reflect then cast spells on it? Their spells always take off so much

Cheers

You took 85 hours on Xenogears and you call yourself quick :P

I've been playing the leaked version though it has started locking up in Ozmone Planes when I try to use magic damnit Gonna download the US version when it's released to see if it helps

How ya doing, buddy?

I've got some hints for people who are lacking money and need good items to loot from plentiful enimies.

About 8-12 hours into the game
Spoiler:
In The Nam-YanSea (the east) I think, which ever is the first part of it. Look for Rotten Tomatoes and steal from them, their loot will produce approx 400 gil per sell and you can generally find a fair few of them on the first few sections of the map

About 12-16
Spoiler:
In the Ozmone Planes look for the steel zebras, their loot will give you a about 400 and there is one section where you can find a whole lot of them, I think it's kinda in the middle on the west side

About 14-20
Spoiler:
In the Golmore Forest, attack the first set of wolves. They drop Coylent Pearls or something, which give you about 400 a sell, and there are a LOT of them so it's easy to get some money.

I spent a while getting money and levelling up to get all my characrters top of the range stuff and I've found it pretty easy for all enimies besides some bosses which I think about technicks

I was speaking idiomatically.

If you are finding it REALLY difficult, I haven't done it yet but
Spoiler:
You can buy shields at Mt Ominace that halve all ice damage So I would assume that would work

I haven't used a quickening or summon once and my chars are up to about level 30 :/

Don't know why I'm just happy to let them slug it out. BTW Is there enough quickenings to get all 3 with each character?

If you're still at the Raithwall Tomb, you still have a few dungeons to get through to get to Mt. B.O.

This way, instead of needing 16,000 LP to max out a license board, you'll only need 8,000.
Actually, you can get them a teeeny bit before.

Spoiler:
The Verra Village
This is convenient because the wolves in the Gilmore Forest have Colyent Pearls or something that sell for 400ish and there's plenty of em

I'd advise getting Horology and use that against flying enimies with one character using a bow. Takes htem out prettily easily.

Horology is a random attack based on time. I had it on 2 guys and one with a bow and the horology guys were hittin for 200-500 easy. This was back around level 24ish, I'll probably buy another bow so I can equip 2 if I encounter more flying enimies

I only use charge when I have 0 MP It gives you about 30 which is just enough for Cura ;D

Horology just works on time I think, maybe on your overall time playing?

Rotten Tomatoes in hte Sandsea drop succulent fruit which sell for 500ish. They are most prominent in the first 2 parts of map when you first come in to the sandsea, if that makes sense

With Summons, are you guys giving it to any characters and do the summons get more powerful as they go on?

@sandmonkeys
Jesus man, if you are going to spam this thread with your incessant and unnecessary posting at LEAST make it legible. Gah.

I've got a question, do the hunts matter what level you do them on? Because when I did some of the earlier hunts the enimies still had a larger xp so do the hunt levels match your own?

Ditto about Fran.

So do the Summons get more powerful, or simply different attacks as the game goes on? I've given the first one to Vaan and now wounder if I should give him the last so it measures out

Is Fafnir the one located south in the Panamina Rift?

If so, I beat him at Level 37ish. The first time I used a summon and limits and he started using an attack that hit ofr 20,000ish, then I tried again and didn't use either limits or summons and owned him very easilly.

I checked, the big werewolf thing right? He was easy ;D

I'd rather each character had a unique license board. That would've made it a lot cooler and more unique IMO. Or at least, vary up each characters board so they have access to different things when they start off.

Where did you find that out? I never heard that You are talking about in game right?

BTW Lets say you only have 2 characters in your party do they get more XP as opposed to if you have 3?

I take it you are using a burnt copy?

Try
1. A different DVD media
2. Using Alcohol to burn it on a LOW speed
3. If you used alcohol try a different program

I was using a copy that was burned with nero and it took 45secs-1minute to load up an area and reburnt it with alcohol now runs supersweet =]
