DAMN YOU XBOX!!!! (halp plz)
I am trying to get my Xbox 360 to stream music from my computer. I have installed Windows Media Player 11 and used that Media Sharing utilty, and it recognizes the Xbox. However, on the Xbox, when I do a Test Connection, it says it can't find the computer to connect to. It can connect to the Internet.
I am using a Linksys router and Norton Internet Firewall. I have tried disabling the firewall and using DMZ on the router, but that didn't work. Whoever can get my Xbox to stream music gets a prize. Note, it is imperative I figure out how to do this before Sonic is released on the Xbox 360 so I can play mp3s from Sonic 3 whilst playing the new Sonic. Most amazing jew boots |
1. I only installed WMP 11 and not the media Sharing utility.
2. All the checkboxes were selected to allow all media. 3. I clicked that box and tried again, but it still can't find the computer. I'm fairly sure this isn't a security issue on my end as I've tried disabling all firewalls but still couldn't get the Xbox to find my computer, but it might be. Thanks for your help. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I didn't have 2.0, so I'm downing that now and see if it'll work.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
