some other adventure games I didn't see mentioned are Keepsake and Dreamfall: The longest journey 2.
right now I'm playing Indigo Prohecy which has a "playing a movie" quality like Dreamfall does. The only problem with Dreamfall is that it ends.  They leave so many questions unanswered.Keepsake is more of a traditional graphic adventure puzzler with pre rendered backgrounds. I thought the story was interesting and the music was good. Jam it back in, in the dark.
