Yeah, these were meant to be read between episodes. Sometimes it's backstory and sometimes it's an event that happens in between episodes (Claire crashing the car.)

Most notable information was Eden's backstory (#9) and confirmation that .. you know.. (comic #11)

Someone mentioned it already before I got the chance to post it, but Sylar did have his powers nullified when Eden and Haitian man intercepted him.

I don't think a hero is limited to one power, so Haitian man could have both memory erasing and the buffer.

Look at Hiro, he can slow down time to a stop AND teleport (through time.)

It just pulls on my heart to see that Sylar is on the loose still. Mr. Bennet is going to have a lot on his hands when he has Sylar, Ted, and Hana to worry about. Possibly Matt too if he decides to turn into a badguy.

I wonder if Haitian man will tell Claire to be aware that Sylar is still on the loose. That'll make her worry more than ever.
We still don't get to know who Linderman is.. darn.

Sylar does have freezing powers. I think he probably killed Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat.

Though he was never shown using his freezing powers on the show, the new graphic novel does.

Glad to see Peter controlling his powers now. Maybe he'll turn evil (with the dark colors and all) or turn good again, I just want to see him getting some more action!

BTW, Sylar does have the learning ability that he stole from Charlie (Hiro's dead girl.) It was also shown in the last comic along with the freezing powers.

Basically, Sylar had to learn how to drive a truck and he remembered the powers he stole from Charlie. He read the manual, learned how to drive, and then used ice powers to make the roads slick to escape the cops.

I hope I don't sound annoying when I keep bringing up the comics to answer some questions.

But Sylar did get hit by the bullets that Mr. Bennet shot at him (when he was about to kill Mrs. Bennet, but was stopped by Haitian and Bennet.)

You've guess right, it was shown in a comic (the same comic that Sylar mentioned about having Charlies power and also using ice powers.)

There is a frame of him by a dumpster near a gas station where he ran away to. There's blood on him and a handy sewing kit nearby that he used to stitch himself up. Maybe his "knowing how things work" teaches him to be a doctor too.

But there is some inconsistency in the show, where he doesn't show any signs of pain from the bullets.

On an interesting note, I think Sylar just gave the same (or similar) speech to Mohinder about 'finding them together' as he gave to Mohinder's dad in the episode titled "Six Months Ago."
(Anyone want to confirm that?)

I went to WonderCon in SF. And Ali Larter was there to promote and answer questions for Resident Evil: Extinction (with another cast member.)

The first person up for Q&A says ..."your character has got to be the worst character on the series. But it's not your fault! (probably referring to the writers)
...You're halfway decent..."

When he uttered his first sentence, all of the crowd boo'd him. It was ridiculous. Why do dorks like that need to say something like that to the actors, when they should be directing those comments to the writers?

Ali was looking pretty, as usual. She says she enjoys doing the Heroes show more than the RE movie.

I forgot her exact words, but it seemed like she was afraid her character could die. So anything can happen. Like someone said before, some current heroes might not survive.

Yeah, Mohinder's gotten into some shit. I hope Peter and Sylar's fight won't be as a letdown as the previous one. Some believe that the cut will be Peter's scar, (kinda retarded looking scar) but I thought Peter would be able to fully heal himself like Claire.
BTW, that chick's powers look cool and all, but she's a bitch haha.

Did anyone see the airing of episode of 18 in Canada? (not download)

I read that they didn't show the preview of ep 19 after the show was over (been trying to look for the promo clip.)
If it didn't show, there could be a possibility that the US airing will not show it either because they just might fill it in with a preview of Spider-Man 3 that everyone is anticipating.

In the latest comic right after the incideny with Ted almost blowing up the neighborhood, Mr. Bennet contacted Hana and told her that he's switching sides and he needs her help to put down the company. She accepted.

I'm wondering if this hiatus will feature more Hana comics as it did last time. Her appearance on the show was a little abrupt, so I also hope that she's given a proper introduction to show her background, internal struggles, and what her goals are. Right now her character is just flat.

I also liked the little detail of the phone call from the kennel had a different ringer the 2nd time around. The real kennel had a dog barking song as the ringer.

And from Company Man, wouldn't everyone need one of those candies that Audrey gave Matt to counteract the radiation? I thought they'd need to quarantine the whole area too or something.

I wonder if Claire's grandma has any powers.

In this hiatus, there is a 6 part comic titled "War Buddies."

It starts out with HRG (Mr. Bennet) giving instructions to Hana (Wireless girl) to find a file at the Pentagon that will shut down "the company" that HRG works for. The file Hana gets, The Lone Star File, it details about a covert Vietnam War operation involving a crew, which one of them has an amazing ability.
Hana (and us) have yet to find out how that mission relates to shutting down HRG's company.
The comic is usually released on Tuesday and they're on part 3 of 6 now.

This message is obviously from Future Hiro trying to contact Hana. (note that the word for "flower" in japanese is "hana")

For 2 weeks, fans were trying to 'crack' the message as they thought there is a hidden message in that cryptic post.
And indeed there is a secret message. It wasn't until last week that someone (from the 9th Wonders forum) found what it is.

It's a well crafted secret message, if you guys would like to take a shot at it, have fun! But if you can't crack it, click the next spoiler for the solution.

OK here is the solution(copy and pasted from 9th Wonders forum):

The puzzle was solved focusing on two clues.
The title: "Bound by Death and Luck"
The line: "To see light again, a rift will be chanced. I grow weary of hiding on the 15. In simple times, we used a courier to tell truth."

The method for finding the solution:

The hint "bound by death and luck" refers to superstitions about certain numbers in Japanese culture. Death is represented by 4. Luck is represented by 7. If the column is set to 47 characters, and the words are left to fall naturally (so none are cut off), then the letters will line up properly.

Alternately, the bound by death and luck may refer to 4 and 8, respectively. The solution is "bound" by this by being in a 4-inch column, the difference between 4 and 8. This method requires the font in its original size 10 to work.

The next hint is using "courier to tell the truth." This is a hint to use the courier font.

Finally, "hiding on the 15" represents the 15th letter of each line. When the 15th letter of each line is taken after lining up the text as above, the solution is revealed.

So it was Hiro from the future. And if you guys don't remember, Molly Walker is the little girl that Matt Parkman found in the little closet under the stairs when we're first introduced to Matt. Her dad was the one who was frozen with the head cut off.

It seems that Molly is of great importance to Hiro for 'saving the world' as Claire was. Pretty interesting.

It's possible that Mr. Petrelli's powers hasn't manifest yet (We still have one more comic to go.) Or it could mean that Angela Petrelli has powers (or both of them do.)

Micah's parents both have powers and so does Claire's parents. Does it take two to make another? If not, then why aren't Nathan's other kids (with Heidi) manifesting?

Maybe abilities manifest 'randomly' as opposed to an organization experimenting on people. For instance, would that same organization have gave Linderman and Au Co powers? They're so far apart..
So maybe for abilities to carry on, both parents need to have powers.

I kinda already know what's going to happen to Peter (from spoiler pics and trailers.)
But for his SCAR... I don't think he'll have one.

I'm thinking in the alternate future that the other Hiro was from, Hiro never told Peter to meet Claire (and not gaining regen powers.)
In our timeline, Peter does have it and he will heal himself.

Also, I get this weird feeling that changing the past won't change future Hiro's future. Like in the case of Trunks from DBZ, which Hiro's character is heavily influenced by

The Pilot episode "Genesis" was 53 mins long (from my downloaded eps)
All of the following eps are around 42 mins.

So basically we have over 15 mins of commercial time. I hate it too.

For the last 3 or so eps, Canada aired it a day earlier than the US. So I had the luxury of downloading and watching it before NBC Broadcasted it.

I'm not sure if Canada is still airing the remaining eps on Sundays..

I'd love to see them show at least a glimpse of what Kaito or Angela can do, but not really necessary.

I'm still kind of worried about what they can achieve in the season finale. I was hoping they'd have longer airtime, but it's probably the same length as usual.

Each will feature the background of a person with special abilities (whom aren't directly related to the main storyline) and we'll be able to vote for which we want to appear in the next season, American Idol style.

The "30 eps" is probably season 2 + origins.
